New Management: Trump-Era Kennedy Center Makes Dramatic Pro-Family ‘Pride Month’ Decision
In a world of Drag Queen story hours, they canceled pride month events, and told Christ's story instead

If they want families to show up, to buy tickets, they’ll have to show that families are welcome. This is a big step to move in that direction.
As ClashDaily reported recently, The Kennedy Center was in yuge trouble. The kind of trouble that leads to criminal referrals for fraud. Financially, they were in a massive hole and had to dig out of it. Trump trolled the left a while by suggesting he could run the place. He named Rick Grenell to head it up, instead.
You might expect that a gay man might be all-in on the whole Pride Month thing wanting to keep that cultre anchored deep in the heart of what makes the Kennedy Center tick. But he didn’t. He went exactly the opposite direction. The Kennedy Center is NOT running with the Rainbow activist crowd. In fact, Kennedy center has snubbed them to the point that the local ‘Capital Pride Alliance’ has snubbed them.
Organizers and the Kennedy Center have canceled a week’s worth of events celebrating LGBTQ+ rights for this summer’s World Pride festival in Washington, D.C., amid a shift in priorities and the ousting of leadership at one of the nation’s premier cultural institutions.
Multiple artists and producers involved in the center’s Tapestry of Pride schedule, which had been planned for June 5 to 8, told The Associated Press that their events had been quietly canceled or moved to other venues. And in the wake of the cancellations, Washington’s Capital Pride Alliance has disassociated itself from the Kennedy Center. — Breitbart
The new boss is NOT like the old boss!
In its place, we’ve seen the sold-out showings of King of Kings, and there was a ‘prayer wall’ set up where warm messages could be shared.
“Both shows completely SOLD OUT, proving what Kennedy Center President Richard Grenell had been saying all along — the American people want to see more family-friendly programming,” the spokesperson said. This marks the first time since 2022 that the Kennedy Center has featured any Jesus-related content according to Fox News. That was when they held a showing of Jesus Christ Superstar, a 70s musical often considered sacrilegious by faithful Christians.
“The venue has hosted gospel singers and classical performances by composers such as Mozart and Beethoven, some of which were originally commissioned for church music,” according to their reporting. — BleedingFool
If we’re going to start taking culture back to something that celebrates who we are instead of perpetually undercutting it, we’ll have to start participating in ‘the culture’.
This is a start, at least. But we’ve still got a loooong way to go.
Who knows? Maybe some of our readers are called to step up and write the next great novel or screenplay.
Not as a ‘conservative novel’ or a Christian screenplay. But as a good novel, movie, album written by someone with Christian and/or conservative values who isn’t going to tell a story about how we need to despise our own birthright as a nation and a culture.
Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.
Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.
This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
