New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie slammed the National Rifle Association’s latest ad in which they accuse President Barack Obama of hypocrisy for sending his children to a school where they are protected by armed guards. Christie called the ad “reprehensible” and said that the NRA should not be “dragging people’s children” into the gun control debate.

“I think any of us who are public figures, you see that kind of ad and you cringe,” Christie said on Thursday at a news conference in Trenton. “I’m a father who is a public figure, who has four children and my children had no choice realistically in what I decided to do with my career and what affect that has had on their lives.”

“Don’t be dragging people’s children into this,” he added. “It’s wrong and I think it demeans them and it makes them less of a valid trusted source of information on the real issues that confront this debate.”

He’s got a point. Politicians know not to drag each other’s families into debates and issues. The media doesn’t feel the need to follow that unwritten law.
Is Obama a hypocrite? Yes.
Does he want to fundamentally change our nation? Probably.
Should we be bringing up where his children go to school, or how many Secret Service agents they have guarding them? No. That point is moot — they don’t have a choice because they are White House kids, and therefore would be a potential liability if left unprotected.

I agree with NRA and what they said about President O’s kids. NRA wasn’t trying to harm those children in any way but make a point that our children are just as important as President Obama’s.

I HAD a lot of respect for Christie in the beginning, but, after seeing him kissing Obummer’s butt after Sandy, and refraining from mentioning Obummer’s use of kids in the Whitehouse, during his efforts to push his EO’s for his gun agenda, while calling out the NRA for mentioning the protections Obummer’s kids have, as opposed to our kids – all that respect is gone. Nobody’s kids – I repeat, NOBODY’S kids are more important than my kids, grandkids, great grandkids, or anybody else’s kids. It is obvious to me that Gov. Christie isn’t finished kissing Obummer’s butt because of Sandy, and the $ NJ gets. If Gov. Christie wants to re-earn some respect – he needs to distance himself from the Socialist-in-Chief, and think about the citizens, for whom he works, as does Obummer.
