‘No ma’am’: Letter from U.S. Marine to Dianne Feinstein goes viral

Corporal, I too swore the very same oath as you, served my country honorably, and have lived my life as an American citizen. Our sworn oath, if memory serves, had no expiration date, nor, I suspect, would we recognize one even if it was suddenly “Reinterpreted” in some afore to previously “Undiscovered Penumbra”. As hard as it may be, remember this: “Always aim just below the blue helmet, no matter what color it is.”

My son, also a Marine, wrote a similar letter to her and a few others. None of us who took the oath to protect the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic heard any expiration date on that oath.

I took the oath in August 1969, US Army and still believe it is more needed today than when I took it. I don’t think that these politicians really understand what they are trying to do. We have rolled over too many times on other issues and I think they figure that this is just another one of those times. I will keep my guns and they can kiss my ass. US Amry / Vietnam Veteran.

Not as it was but as a new outfit, call them the Inductees. Give them special uniforms a chain of command, and have them serve this country for two years. Only in America and in foreign countries not having a war zone. They can wash dishes, cook drive trucks, paint barracks, collect garbage, do clerical work, free up what our real soldiers are doing. Work for America instead of getting paid not to work. They can earn college credits to go get an education later. But show them what it means to be in service to your country. Instead of this country being in service to them.

I am a vietnam Vet and I feel she and others have overstepped their bounds. Instead of looking to disarm they should be concentrating on the safety of Americans . And supporting mental Health is this country instead of letting ill people walk the streets with No supervision. And supporting bills that keep these “No Guns!” areas patrolled by armed security or police officers. May as well put a Bulls Eye on these kids!

First, civil disobedience, Simply do not obey any unconstitutional laws. If the left is able to pass them through congress or more likely through “executive orders”, they must be ignored. Do not register guns or submit to finger printing or confiscation. Get to know who your like minded neighbors are. Are you, or do you have family or friends in law enforcement or the military? Talk to them. Talk to people and spread the word that that these efforts to disarm the American people of their rights and ability to protect themselves from criminals and out of control government will not be met with indifference. The left must be shown that there are many more armed supporters of the constitution then there are people willing to be obama enforcers. If you are in law enforcement or the military, refuse to obey unlawful orders. Which is more important, your country, family, freedom or your paycheck? They cannot subjugate us as a group so they will rely on fear by staging military style assaults on selected victims in order to frighten the majority into submission. Remember that resistance to confiscation will be reported by a corrupt, unlawful government and a corrupt media as domestic terrorism. If/when it comes down to it, defend your friends and neighbors who are assaulted by that unlawful government.

That Marine said what many Americans feel. We will not have our 2nd admendment right taken away by either Ms. Feinstein or President Obama. A President can still be impeached and removed from office for violating all the rights of legitimate American Citizens. While I have no problem with the Hispanic race as I have one in my family. She is the mother of two of my grandchildren and is a CITIZEN of this United States of America. If there is no law that has been written to prevent non-citizens from voting, it should be written to stop a renegade president from winning an election with non-citizen votes. If you want to vote, become a Citizen. Leave our 2nd Amendment rights alone. Hundreds of thousands of American Soldiers have given their lives protecting those rights and we are not about to give up those rights for Ms. Feinstein or Mr. Obama. Like if you agree!

I did not have the honor of serving in the military, but I honor those who have and do. However, I too am a flesh and blood American. As such I have sworn the same oath – if only before God, myself and my family. I think it is high time to look closely at what defines domestic enemies. The current administration and the likes of Feinstein will increasingly tell America through its media mouthpiece that we (gun owners) are the enemies of the state. I believe it is the reverse. What that means to all of us is indeed worth consideration and may require our best defense. Keep your powder dry!

I took the oath Jan 1974. I will stand with all of my brothers and sisters who also took the oath. It was my 6th great uncle, Thomas Jefferson who said, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” and he also added that it should be done every twenty years or so. It has been far past time to refresh that tree. That is why we have these people who are so brash and hateful with their “Oaths”, they don’t even know what the Constitution stand for anymore. I feel they need to be reminded!

Feinstein has broken her oath by her willingness NOT to uphold the Constitution and her attempt to INFRINGE upon the rights under the second Amendment. Some Elected official should call her out, call for her resignation and if she does not resign then she should be tossed out on her flabby ass!

May I suggest that if this heinous Bill should ever see the light of day, that, We who hold these Truths to be self-evident, fight it with non-compliance.
I further suggest that arms of the Government that will be ordered to force compliance, ATF, State Police, Local Law Enforcement REFUSE to implement any,and all of those ILLEGAL mandates.
They can’t fire them ?
This of course pre-supposes that Law Enforcement believes in the Constitution and has the Courage and Fortitude to fight this, otherwise, we the legal owners of firearms will be forced to fight this battle. It could then get ugly.

I am a woman marine. Started serving my country in 1986. I do not own a gun per se…but my husband and adult children have my back covered by owning several. I took that same oath to protect our country from foreign and DOMESTIC enemies. We will not lay down our arms because the oath we took and believe in will not allow us to.

I took the oath in 1991 and spent six years in the the Marine Corps. I stand with you.

I have taken the oath 5 times since the middle 90s and yet have never been in the military, but I take that oath very seriously. All of you wonderful oathkeepers need to make it official by going to http://www.oathkeepers.org and helping spread the word to active duty military and veterans, and police and sheriffs around the country.

You should also go to http://www.cspoa.org/ and help get sheriffs around the country up to speed starting with your own sheriff.

If registration leads to confiscation dont say that you have kids on your

Your government might take them from you once you register them

Dont buy insurance for your car! Once you register it the government might confiscate it!

Dont buy a license for pet ownership, hunting, or fishing. The government
might come into your house, go into your freezer and confiscate that

I know to some of you I will sound crazy and like a conspiracy theorist but honestly they keep putting these little tests out there to see how the public will react. we keep saying NO. Now these so called EVENTS are happening all at once in rapid succession. We will continue to say NO to taking our guns away. I know we will no matter if this stuff happens every day.

The problem is though that they will get tired of having to argue with us, and bring about an EVENT that will catch us off guard at which point we will not be able to group together and defend our rights, and stop them from declaring MARSHALL LAW, or a POLICE STATE type action in response to so called EVENT.

I’m not a veteran but I’m thankful for all those that serve. My dad served during the Korean War. She and congress have no right to take weapons from American citizens. All the politicians have secret service to protect them. Guns don’t kill, people do. Removing our guns won’t stop the idiots that chose to do horrible things. They will find some other way to kill if that is their intent.

It is offensive to me for anyone to insinuate that I am a criminal by inference because of a particular weapon I own because it was used by some crazy person in the commission of a crime. I have committed no crimes and will not allow anyone to tell me I can’t own what I own because they are “afraid” I might do the same. Since when is this great country governed by fear?

People should wake up and remember what happened in Germany and Austria in 1936-1938, when Hitler mandated all guns be registered. It was easy for him to confiscate them afterwards, because he knew where all of therm were.

The Revolutionary war was won by armed citizens. The unorganized militia, not the organized militia (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard). The Second Amendment does not portent to only apply to the organized militia, but to all citizens of the unorganized militia.

There is nothing in the Second Amendment that restricts what type of weapon may be owned, and any attempt to do so is a violation of the Second Amendment and of my Civil Rights.

I have to agree with my fellow veterans. The government will not have the list of my firearms, weapons and protection. They haven’t earned the right to intrude in my household, in my personal liberties due to some misguided and calculated reasoning that places the blame for a madman and a parent who lost control on a firearm rather than on the system that created them both.

This Marine is right on with his letter. He presents an eloquent and persuasive argument on his reasons for protesting this illegal intrusion on our second amendment rights. The problem is that a single letter to a liberal Senator will not carry much weight when it comes to an entrenched politican such as Feinstein. The
only way to put a halt to this attempted usurpation of second amendment
rights is for all concerned Americans to contact their representatives
by calling, faxing, emailing, and personally visiting them and demand
that they stop any dictatorial moves by legislation or illegal executive
order that would violate their constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Blogging about this
subject and writing letters is perfectly fine but a concerted effort with massive response
from congressional constituents is far more effective since politicians will react to the outcries of the voters who have the power to keep them in
office.
