No, it was the FACT that the school the daughters attend, a private school called “Sidwell Friend’s” has their own staff of hired guns – 11 of them are reported – to protect ALL the children that attend Sidwell. THAT is the crux of the ad.

I’m sure people watched NBC’s David Gregory’s vicious attack on NRA President Wayne LaPierre concerning security guards at school. I found Gregory’s tirade very strange indeed because his children actually attend the Sidwell school.

These children sit under the protection guns afford, while the children of regular Americans do not. All children are precious in God’s eyes, whether it be in school or in the wombs of their mothers. We need to do everything we can to protect this Special Gift from God.

Another travesty,was both houses of Congress signing the bill blindly,without reading it! They didn’t have time to closely study over 2500 pages to assess the impact it would cause to US citizens. What do we pay them for? San Fran Nan Pelosi said, “You have to read it to find out whats in it.” You know the rest, the sheep followed Nan’s lead and signed without reading a single word, Now we know why! Tell me Don, would you sign a bill that would change your life without taking time to read it? Of course you wouldn’t, but our elected politicians were not going to feel the brunt of their act, because they made sure to write themselves out of participating. I think the point a lot of commentators are missing, is not so much whether rich people’s kids need extra protection (they certainly face extra threats).
What people are missing, and Obama too, I think, is to wonder why, if guns are so dangerous around our children, why do they suddenly become safe when handled by minimum wage renta cops hired by a private school?
I have a relative who is firmly against guns, but who hires an armed security firm to guard her house. She cannot explain why some 20 something year old minimum wage kid with minimal firearms training (far less than me with over half a century’s gun owning experience) is safe around her house at night with a gun, but I am not.
