EEEK! Why Obama Uses Fear To Scare America Over Government Shutdown

“So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself -— nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance,” proclaimed President Franklin D. Roosevelt in first inaugural speech in January 1933.

The nation was gripped in a terrifying Great Depression and it appeared that government itself would crumble at its very foundation. Roosevelt reached into the great wells of personal strength and faith found within the hearts and spirits of the American people to rally them with hope, perseverance and belief in God.

Fast forward to October 1st, 2013, with a government shutdown engineered largely in part by President Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada. Many of the government operations came to a screeching halt. Was it necessary and could it have been prevented?

Of course the answer is yes. Of course the President could have easily provided an alternative to shutting down many of the government operations which resulted in the furloughing of 800, 000 plus government employees. But instead, Obama wanted to create calamity on Wall Street and deepen the divide between Americans and their resentment for all things that relate to Republicans in congress. Mr. Obama’s weapon of choice is naked and unabridged fear!

This is the tool of choice that elected officials like the president uses when they do not want to lead from principle and provide for the common good and welfare of the American public. It is the type of leadership that cowers in the dark corners and recesses of political strategy sessions in Senator’s Reid’s office or the now tainted Oval Office.

This, plain and simple, is the social engineering of socialist created economic slavery to force the nation into accepting a second class medical Obamacare plan created by a third rate president. But unfortunately for Obama, the American people are not buying this political stalemate and blame game shenanigans.

Seventeen years ago during President Clinton’s administration, there was no Fox News or social media. Americans were led by their noses by the likes of ABC, CBS and NBC news anchors that focused their deadly aim on the Republicans House and then speaker Newt Gingrich. Newt and the Republicans received the blame as per usual and Democrats skated off without even a mark on their tainted tactics.

Now comes the reckoning for the Democrats and the President because, unlike the 21-day shutdown over the Christmas holiday season 17 years ago, the President’s remarks about dire warnings of financial collapse did not occur the first day of the shut down. In fact Wall Street market indicators were up instead of crashing in financial cinders as Obama and the media pundits had forecast.

Remember the Sequester battle earlier this year ,where Obama and the democrats warned that the government services would grind to a halt and millions of Americans would be impacted? Well the Chicken Little predictions of grave pain did not play out and America moved on past it, much to Obama’s disgust.

This fear tactic has not only been over played by the Obama administration it is actually having a well deserved impact upon the president’s poll numbers. Currently, this second term president is surfing at a new low of 45 percent in the Gallup approval poll and heading lower.

This has to bring out the fear and loathing that he has for the Republican leadership that he and Reid normally have even more. Obama is not getting the mainstream media bounce he once enjoyed when he gives alarming speeches about the ever dangerous Republicans and the even “more dangerous” Tea Party wing of the House of Representatives.

The writing is on the wall for Obama and it is not written in his red erasable ink either. Instead, he can see that, unlike many presidents who enjoyed an average presidential poll rating of 51 percent approval in their exact position of the second term, Obama is cruising toward Richard Nixon’s low of 29 percent.

That is why America should simply let Obama continue being Obama, the socialist who cried wolf, and let political gravity do the rest as he tumbles into the graveyard of failed presidencies. Thank God for Senator Ted Cruz and other conservatives like Senators Rand Paul and Mike Lee who can give Mr. Obama a little well deserved nudge along the way.

What America and its conservative leaders on Capitol Hill have that Obama does not seem to care about is faith in a caring God and the religious, Christian principles this nation was built upon. Obama is rudderless and it shows, except when he is telling Muslim audiences in places like Cairo, Egypt in 2009, “I am one of you.”

“In this dedication of a Nation we humbly ask the blessing of God. May He protect each and every one of us. May He guide me in the days to come,” Is how Roosevelt ended his speech. Can you imagine Obama doing the same? Hardly!
