What Does a Bird Feeder and Obama’s Presidency Have in Common?

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with seed. What a beauty of a bird feeder it was, as I filled it lovingly with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food.

But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue.

Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table, everywhere!

Then some of the birds turned mean. They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had to feed them out of my own pocket.

And others birds were boisterous and loud. They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn’t even sit on my own back porch anymore. So I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like it used to be – quiet, serene – and no one demanding their rights to a free meal.

Now let’s see: Our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care and free education, and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen.

Then the illegals came by the tens of thousands. Suddenly, our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments are housing 5 families; you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency room doctor; Your child’s second grade class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn’t speak English.

Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to ‘press one’ to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than “ours” are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe it’s time for the government to take down the bird feeder.

If you agree, pass it on; if not, just continue cleaning up the poop!

maxineLeave it to Maxine to come up with a solution for the mess that America/Canada/Australia is now in economically.

Pardon the grammar police, but it is What DO they have in common.

Aside from that, this is one of the best analogies I’ve see!

      THE PARABLE OF THE TALENT:
“…….a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man ACCORDING TO HIS SEVERAL ABILITY; and straightway took his journey.

Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

(SHIFTED BLAME SO AS TO EXCUSE HIS SLUGGARD ACTIONS—-“I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT I DID or DIDN’T DO…..IT’S NOT MY FAULT YOU’RE MONEY DIDN’T INCREASE”)

His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
And cast ye the unprofitable servant (SLUGGARD)into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. [Matthew 25:14-30]

Sluggard: SLUG’GARD, n. [from slug and ard, slow kind.] A person habitually lazy, idle and inactive; a drone; a. Sluggish; lazy.

“Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him……….The SLUGGARD is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.” [Proverbs 26:12, 16]

“…..the sluggard thinks himself wiser than seven such; for let seven such persuade him to be diligent, with all the reasons they can render for it, it is to no purpose; his own determination, he thinks, answer enough to them and all their reasons. The reference that this has to his slothfulness. It is the sluggard, above all men, that is thus self-conceited; for,

(1.) His good opinion of himself is the cause of his slothfulness; he will not take pains to get wisdom because he thinks he is wise enough already. A conceit of the sufficiency of our attainments is a great enemy to our improvement.

(2.) His slothfulness is the cause of his good opinion of himself. If he would but take pains to examine himself, and compare himself with the laws of wisdom, he would have other thoughts of himself. Indulged slothfulness is at the bottom of prevailing self-conceitedness. Nay,

(3.) So wretchedly besotted is he that he takes his slothfulness to be his wisdom; he thinks it is his wisdom to make much of himself, and take all the ease he can get, and do no more in religion than he needs must, to avoid suffering, to sit still and see what other people do, that he may have the pleasure of finding fault with them. Of such sluggards, who are proud of that which is their shame, their is little hope…” [Matthew Henry Commentary]

You left out the thieves (squirrels ) . Then when you do clean up the mess they chew up the cushions on my lawn furniture. Had to enlist the local shooting sports boys and girls to go hunting in my back yard. Lots of lessons here if you look!!!

Poop, Shite, CaCa, Krap, Excrememt,Turdz and then: Coprophagia!!! (this is what we get from our gubernment)

One reaps what one sows……….if the Government is ignorant, corrupt, reckless and immune to the complaints of the SOVEREIGN, it is because the SOVEREIGN TOLERATE and RE-ELECT those who are CORRUPT, RECKLESS, IGNORANT and SELF RIGHTEOUS.
Stop sticking your hands on the HOT stove burner………

This is how the Elite must feel with us “useless eaters” !
No wonder they are thinking to deal with the blight (us)….

      You sound really confused.

This bird feeder story has been going around for years, but it compared the nasty birds it kept attracting to the illegals. If we don’t stop giving out the goodies, they will continue to demand what they think they’re entitled to.

  • lizaz

I love this story…..the freebies create their own class of entitlement-crazed people who expect their life to be supported by us, the taxpayer, as long as they live. What happens to these leeches when we run out of other peoples’ money???? The sooner, the better I say!!

  • Bill_Beckham

This story is a very accurate depiction of an analogy. Aesop would have been proud.

  • ADRoberts

God help us. It is going to get a lot worse before we have any hope of it getting better.
First, we will have to get rid of the media or at least take control away from the Bilderbergs and the One World Order people.
Can you imagine what life will be like without Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer, BaaBaa Walters, Brian Williams, Matt Lauer, and the host of Chris Matthews clones?
