BAD BEER: 8 Beers That You Should Stop Drinking Immediately

Many of us choose what we eat very carefully, or at least dedicate our minimum attention to it. But when it comes to drinks, especially alcoholic beverages, we do little to make the best decisions for our health. Which is a HUGE mistake. All the work for your body can be ruined in a weekend out. While foods and non alcoholic beverages are required to list their ingredients and are monitored by the FDA, beer does not belong in either. Alcohol industry had lobbied for years to avoid labeling its ingredients. Some to protect its recipes, but most – to hide harmful ingredients.

Here are the 8 beers that are commonly found in bars in United States that you should stop drinkingimmediately.

1. Newcastle Brown Ale

The Newcastle beer has been found to contain caramel coloring. Class 3 and 4 caramel coloring is made from ammonia, which is classified as a carcinogen. “The one and only” beer with cancer causing qualities.

2. Budweiser

One of the most popular beers, or most advertised is Budweiser. Budweiser contains genetically modified(GMO) corn. In 2007, Greenpeace discovered experimental GMO rice in Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser) beer.

3. Corona Extra

I used to love Corona’s commercials. They were so peaceful and relaxing. That is until I found out that the beer contains GMO Corn Syrup and Propylene Glycol. Propylene Glycol is controversial, and is said to may be potentially harmful to your health.

4. Miller Lite

This is another very popular beer in America that contains GMOs. Miller Lite contains GMO corn and corn syrup. It’s “GMO time”.

  • The Reactionary Researcher

I’m sorry… GMO grains in beers is dangerous why? “Experimental rice?” What does that even mean? Why is this site promoting Greenpeace as a reliable source of information about what we should and should not consume? This is a bit disappointing to say the least.

  • Rich Helm

So this about mindless GMO bashing. What idiocy. Joining the anti-GMO propaganda parade, plenty of fantasy floats, ZERO proof.

  • El Mac

Is this a joke? Really Clash???

  • Zundfolge

Anti GMO people are idiots, pure and simple and only slightly less stupid than people that believe we’re being poisoned by “chem-trails”.

We’ve been genetically modifying plants and animals we eat for millennia … I guess the the fact that the folk doing it now wear white coats is just too much for the Critical Theory folk.

  • DOOM161

I only see four. If you support common core math, why would I trust your judgment?

    • Homer

The last 4 are on the article this came from. Common core sux but this is not part of it.

      4. Miller Lite
This is another very popular beer in America that contains GMOs. Miller Lite contains GMO corn and corn syrup. It’s “GMO time”.

  • ArmyAviator

Don’t forget Landshark, the Jimmy Buffet beer. It’s highly popular, a big money maker, not so for Jimmy, but for BUDWEISER from who’s brewery it comes from.

  • AG Dot Com!

AAaaaaaand somehow another hippie dippie article makes it into Doug’s usually solid Clash Daily. Yeah, I will drink whatever the hell I want, including fish bladders and high fructose corn syrup. Here is the chemical breakdown of HFCS vs “regular old sugar” for you – they’re almost exactly the same.

    HFCS-42 = 42% fructose + 58% glucose
    HFCS-55 = 55% fructose + 45% glucose
Table sugar = 50% fructose and 50% glucose

So take that bunk “science”, shove it up yer arse, and get outta my face. I’m off to have a couple pints of Guinness now.

    • SkyRocket J

What about the Genetically Modified Organisms GMO? go get some yeah!!!

  • Sam

I still like Michelob Light, I don’t care if it’s made with genetically altered grain.

  • Eric Haulenbeek

I don’t drink any of these beers, thankfully, but now I have to wonder about my Blue Moon. Ben Franklin would be appalled at what they’ve done to beer!

  • MyronJPoltroonian

Um, is she “Warming Up, ‘Advertising’, or ‘Both’.”

  • Beblevins

Most of this article is based on lack of information of the brewing process and how beer is produced. The main ingredients of beer include: malted grain, hops, water, and yeast. Yeast devours sugary substances to produces alcohol and carbon dioxide. The GMO products that they are referring to are products that are boiled during the brewing process. Boiling sterilizes the wort, denatures the enzymes that were active in the mash, and stabilizes the proteins. Fish bladders, or isinglass, is a product specifically used to clump and settle yeast. This gives a beer clarity without affecting the flavor or leaving trace behind. If this natural product grosses you out then there are many styles of beer that are unfiltered. Propylene Glycol is a food grade antifreeze that is present in nearly all produces that requires cooling. Larger corporations sometimes use PG as a foam stabilizer because consumers do not like to drink foamy beer. This article was created just to cause panic and confusion. On a final note, support your local brewers!

I love these “exposes”. Remember when nutrisweet (or whatever it was) was shown to cause cancer in mice? The “oh, by the way” that was on page 398 of the 399 page “expose” was that in order for a human to consume an amount comparable to what the mice ingested, said human would have to drink 300+ cans of diet soda A DAY. Hell, we ingest more carcinogens walking down the street inhaling auto / bus / truck exhaust. Or inhaling cow farts, if you happen to live on a farm. . . . .
