The motivation behind an act is generally less important than the act.
For example, if you visit an old, lonely veteran because you think there might be some type of reward down the road (maybe you’ll inherit his gun collection when he passes), does it matter more if you never talked with him? We do kind things because it’s the right thing to do, and people appreciate it. Who cares why?
One exception to this, however, is in examining the motivation of Leftists. Not liberals, since today’s liberals are actually conservatives, but Leftists. Or, as Mark Levin has championed, statists.
My theory is just that, a theory. But over the years I’ve noticed a trend that I believe warrants exposition. So keep in mind this is a generality. There are exceptions to virtually any position one takes.
Those on the Left do not believe in God.
There are many defenses, but I’ll use three. The first is abortion. If you believe in God, you believe in the value of life and are against abortion. Leftists are all about “choice” but we know how much they accept and condone killing a baby out of convenience (Obama: “punished with a baby” and his four-time opposition to the Born Alive Infant Protection Act ).
Defense number two: They just don’t like God, and demonstrated such by denying Him three times at the 2012 DNC Convention. Where have we heard this before?
Defense number three: Affirmative action and opposition to equal rights. How in the world can anyone make any political or social decision based on the color of a person’s skin, yet we have affirmative action? On equal rights, Democrat Senator Robert Byrd (WV) was a high ranking officer in the Ku Klux Klan and, alongside Al Gore senior, opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Are there people on the Left who go to church? Of course, but you have to believe delusion is winning any internal battle that might be going on in their hearts and minds about what they profess inside the church and how they act politically. If people don’t believe in God, to paraphrase G.K. Chesterton, it’s not that they believes in nothing, but they’ll believe in anything. To add to that, if there isn’t a heaven, nonbelievers try to make one here on earth, complete with their own deities.
How else can you explain the drones worshiping Obama. Remember the youth brigade or Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore pledging “to serve” Obama? And let’s not forget global warming, and Al Gore as the hoax’s earthly messiah.
So we know the Left’s motivation: Utopia. They believe they can build the perfect society.
What this means is until the Left finds real religion in Judaism or Christianity, theirs is an ideology we’ll never change. Like Islamists, Leftists are devout in their beliefs and they never let up.
Throughout history, those who wish to live their lives unmolested have had to endure — most of the time through pain and suffering — the dystopian urges of current-day know-it-alls who attempt to jam everyone into a pre-defined, paradisaical box. And by the way, today’s Leftists are nothing but retread hacks, dating back to Plato’s Republic. I highly recommend Mark Levin’s “Ameritopia” for more on this topic.
There’s a problem with building utopias: They never work. The self-appointed masterminds in every one of these movements have ignored a vital part of human existence: God-given free will. What if we don’t want to live in the Leftists’ Utopian world? What if we want to use fossil fuels, build skyscrapers, and hunt for meat or trophies. What if we want to smoke cigars? What if we want to drive big SUVs that no more damage the planet than the methane coming out of their mouths?
My fellow conservatives, never forget this: No matter how often we might win — and I smell victories coming in November — these people will never be gone, and they will never forgive. Until we see an earth-shattering reformation on their side, they will never stop. We won’t ever rest. Some narcissist like the one currently occupying the White House will surface again, and claim on his or her own to have the answers to mankind’s problems if you just give a little more of your freedom.
If Leftists keep fighting, we have to keep fighting as well. America, and the world, depend on us.
