PRECEDENT: According to Rules Set By the LEFT, Designers MUST Dress the First Lady

We’re supposed to believe a bunch of fashion designers are heroes for refusing to dress the incoming First Lady. Give me a break. And oh, sorry, fashion world, all those so-called top designers that are refusing to dress Melania Trump HAVE TO dress the First Lady.

It’s true.

It’s a fact.

They don’t get to say no and they don’t get to not do it. If the incoming First Lady wants them to dress her, they have to.

If Melania Trump wants to press the issue – and since she’s a classy lady most likely she won’t – every single fashion designer that’s said they won’t dress her will have to break out tape measures and sewing machines and make her outfits. Period. And thankfully those outfits wouldn’t look like those Trekkie convention contraptions Hillary Clinton wore and her supporters thought were the best thing since Obama wore creased trousers.

At this point the leftists reading this – especially those living the pussification lifestyle – are no doubt ready to burn a police car at the thought of a fashion designer being forced by law to make a product for someone they disagree with. To those leftists, I say, meh.

Leftists, This Is What You’ve Wrought
Remember when you took bakery owners to court to force them to make a wedding cake for a gay marriage? Most of us right of center types wondered about the logic in that.

Think about it. If someone doesn’t want to make you a cake, and then you force them to do it, do you honestly think you’re getting the best cake your money can buy? Then again, you are leftists and your intellectual depth is of the teaspoon variety. You fought tooth and nail to force a Christian bakery to produce a product against their will and you won.

It’s Called Legal Precedent
The left wanted the government to be able to force people to give up their talent, labor, time, and resources, in exchange for money to produce products for people they ideologically disagreed with. Many of us on the right called it a fascist move. We cited it as contrary to principles of freedom, liberty, tolerance, and inclusion. But the left called us Christianists and fascists. They compared us to ISIS. And they claimed we were intolerant and exclusionary.

All because in our view we believed that if a business owner wanted to decline his or her services for ideological reasons, that they should be allowed to. Similarly, a customer ought to be able to transact business with those he or she feels most comfortable with. (Going back to the case involving the cake for the gay wedding, why didn’t the couple simply find a bakery owned or operated by homosexuals?). The left thought otherwise and they beat us.

The Law Cuts Both Ways
Equality under the law is a bedrock principle our government is built upon. It means that when a legal precedent is established, it’s all inclusive. That way, when a court issues a ruling that ruling applies to ALL similar situations from sea to shining sea. If the case is about abortion and is called Roe v. Wade, the ruling is applied nationwide – there is no need for other Roes to sue other Wades. Like it or hate it Roe v. Wade set the precedent for all abortion cases of its kind nationwide.

Same goes for the gay wedding cake case.

The courts said that consumers can compel someone to produce a product for them even if that person ideologically disagrees with them. That goes for wedding cakes and for evening gowns.

So, fire up those sewing machines fashion world – you’re making Melania Trump whatever she tells you to.

Share if you agree what’s fair for others is fair for fashion designers who say they won’t design clothing for Melania Trump.
