Michelle Obama’s State of Mind

800px-Michelle_Obama_speaks_at_Kids'_Inaugural_1-19-09_hires_090119-N-1928O-182aIn addition to being a full-fledged liberal, Barack Obama is quite arrogant, given his disregard for the Constitution. One could say that Michelle Obama (labeled “Miss Hell Obama” by some people I knew) is probably more arrogant than her husband.

For instance, there is her view that America is “just downright mean” — a view she expressed in March 2008. She went on to elaborate by discussing the state of the economy and how people were struggling financially.

So, how does the state of the economy make America a downright mean nation?

Perhaps she was trying to play the race card. After all, she does view America as a racist, sexist, homophobic nation. She even went so far as to say that her husband (as a black man) could get shot going to the gas station.

Why does she play the race card? After all, it’s been over 30 years since the Civil Rights Movement. And people are pretty much less likely to be prejudiced these days. Also, she was born in 1964, the same year significant civil rights legislation was enacted.

Either she has been indoctrinated over the issue of race from a liberal point of view or has experienced prejudice and discrimination almost every day of her life. In order to learn the truth, one should examine her early life.

She claims to have came from a “conventional” American home in Chicago. Her father worked at the city water plant, and her mother was a housewife. They would spend their vacations in White Cloud, Michigan. She was an honor roll student, a National Honor Society member, and student council member at her high school. She was even salutatorian when she graduated from high school.

Given such an upbringing, it doesn’t sound like she experienced prejudice and discrimination on a daily basis.

So maybe her parents experienced prejudice and discrimination on a daily basis when they were younger, and told her about it (which in turn might have made her bitter and angry). But as I mentioned before, she was born during the Civil Rights Movement. And even though Chicago was known for housing segregation during that time, her parents should have been happy that de-segregation was taking place.

So why is Michelle Obama seemingly angry and bitter? Was it because of any hardships her family endured? Was it the turmoil of the late 1960s? Or was it her upbringing and education that resulted in her liberal political views?

Obviously living in Chicago (the most Democrat-controlled city in America) has helped shape her political views. Her father was a precinct captain for the Democratic Party. In addition, she was on the staff of former Mayor Richard M. Daley during the early 1990s.

But her views on race are what her political views are based on. Her senior thesis at Princeton reflects such views, in which she complains about blacks being assimilated into a white society (thus being deprived of their culture). Given that this thesis was written twenty years after the Civil Rights Movement, it appears she was not satisfied despite all the racial barriers that had been removed.

In fact, it is safe to say that just as Hillary Clinton viewed any attack on her as an attack on all women, Michelle Obama views any attack on her as an attack on all African-Americans. Therefore, she loves to play the race card.

She also commented that in 2008 she was proud of her country for the first time ever.

Why is that? Once again, it’s the race card (and other prejudices). Perhaps someone needs to inform her that no country is 100% prejudice free. The Arabs enslaved more Africans than the West while also enslaving Europeans and Asians. In fact, they still continue to enslave Africans and Asians. Ethnic cleansing and genocide have occurred not just in the West, but also in Africa and Asia (e.g. Rwanda, Cambodia). Thus, Michelle Obama should not be singling out America when it comes to prejudices.

It seems like she is just an angry, bitter person who is never satisfied. In fact, she seems to have had a chip on her shoulder for quite some time.
