The value of life has taken a dramatic turn. Trees recently have souls. Now, fish suffer a violent undeserved death. The latest video created by PETA, featuring actor Joaquin Phoenix, was banned at the Oscars due to its potential controversy. The short video revealed a man suffocating as he flailed violently in search for a breath of air. This was a fictional example of what a humble little fish felt like after it was caught and then suffocated while it was out of the water. Save the animals! Run from the socially problematic little humans! When asked about their stance on the subject of abortion, PETA quoted that they “do not have a position on the abortion issue, because our focus as an organization is the alleviation of the suffering inflicted on nonhuman animals.” In other words, we’ll save anything nonhuman, but as for human babies; we don’t care enough to have a say.
This past month, a man was arrested in Fort Pierce, Florida, for touching and allowing his children to pet a young manatee. His actions were considered harassment on the animal, which could endanger and kill the manatee, and the man faced up to 6 months in jail and a $500 fine. He was later released on a $2500 bond.
Since 1973, there have been over 55 million legal documented abortions performed. Should it even be mentioned that since 1973, there have only been 525,000 deaths by guns. However, this administration is trying to take our guns away from us because they are believed to be a danger to society. But I digress.
Data shows that there are well over 3,000 abortions performed every day in the United States alone. Yet, the act, when performed under the specified guidelines of Roe vs. Wade, is completely acceptable. In fact, a person who is pro-life is categorized as a potential terror suspect according to a document published by the Department of Homeland Security in January 2012. This is astonishing. There are several reasons as to why folks say that abortion is acceptable. And many focus only on the detail that some pregnancies are a health risk to either the mother or the baby, or the pregnancy is a result of rape; which really only accounts for a mere 7% of abortions performed. According to NLRC, 93% of abortions are executed simply because it could affect a person socially. This is deplorable and is an issue we have to tackle right at the source. There is not a feasible comparison between humans and animals. Abortion is not an American freedom and it is not defined within our Bill of Rights.
As for PETA, Please Eat The Animals! – especially the fish. They are actually pretty good for you and are an excellent source of protein, high in omega-3 fatty acids, and low in saturated fat.
