Obama brought up immigration in his State of the Union address in 2013. He also brought it up during his speech in 2009. He talks big but as most are discovering, if not knowing already, that is all he is, a bunch of hot air.
The “Gang of Eight” have pretty much come to a standstill. While the Republicans have presented a modest bill, the Liberals seem to want to allow illegals to remain illegal. I understand, they are a portion of the Liberals voting base along with others that have become dependent on entitlements, unions, and other individuals that are completely supportive of a Marxist nation. The Democrats are holding up 86 billion in cuts as something to be proud of and at the same time demonizing the Republicans for making them formulate their glorified budget cut. There are many areas of our government that need to be addressed, areas that have gigantic problems that will not be resolved without drastic action.
Several weeks ago, a friend made a post about the cost of illegals in the United States at my conservative site. After reviewing it and doing a little research, I found the fiscal outlay for citizens was astounding. The Republicans seem fearful of the Mexican voter but if you look at the history, they have never been on the GOP’s side anyway so I don’t see that we have anything to loose. When it comes down to the bottom line, we must do what is in the best interest of our nation.
If you haven’t seen these facts before, you might be in for a real eye-opener. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal immigrants each year by state governments. $22 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal immigrants. $2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal immigrants. $12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word of English! $17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the American-born children of illegal immigrants, known as anchor babies. $3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal immigrants. 30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal immigrants.
$90 Billion Dollars a year is spent on illegal immigrants for Welfare & social services by the American taxpayers. $200 Billion dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused by the illegal immigrants. In 2006, illegal immigrants sent home $45 BILLION in remittances to their countries of origin. Amazing isn’t it. The bottom line cost to the tax paying citizen per year is $338,300,000,000.00. That is correct, just a little over 338 billion per year. The one amount that has not been added in is the tax returns the government gives to illegals.
Yes, I have an orthodox reaction to resolving this problem. Guys are problem solvers by nature. With this President and the Republican wimps, my idea would be knocked down, possibly called unorthodox, sexist and racist. Do I really care? NOPE! Not one bit. I believe many may find it viable. It would create jobs, it would secure the border at a minimum cost and it would make most illegals run back to their home country wither it be Mexico or Saudi Arabia.
