University Prof Calls for Beheading of NRA CEO, says NRA “Terrorist Group”

Screen Shot 2013-03-19 at 8.28.15 AMErik Loomis, a professor at the University of Rhode Island, went on a profanity-laced tirade on Twitter, calling the NRA a terrorist organization and saying he wanted to see the head of NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre “on a stick,” Campus Reform reported Monday.

“I was heartbroken in the first 20 mass murders. Now I want Wayne LaPierre’s head on a stick,” he wrote.
Twitchy reported Tuesday that Loomis walked back his comment, calling it a “metaphor,” but said he wanted to see LaPierre in prison.

“Dear rightwingers, to be clear, I don’t want to see Wayne LaPierre dead. I want to see him in prison for the rest of his life,” he tweeted, after his original call for LaPierre’s decapitation was reported by Campus Reform.
