Cruz-Derangement Syndrome: Not ‘Touched By an Angel’ But …
As we’re painfully aware, Republicans-In-Name-Only such as the likes of John McCain have been so alarmed at Cruz’ steadfastness to the Constitution as to go so far as to call him a “whacko bird” who can’t seem to play nice with the commie dems.
Well, we of the Constitutional conscience of America don’t want Republican leaders to play nice with the commie dems. Â We want GOP lightning-rods who thwart, frustrate, traumatize, and defeat them. Â Ted Cruz does that, with polished aplomb, and we love it. Â They absolutely hate it.Â
Cruz made the weaselly rodent Eric Holder finally, publicly, say what amounted to “uncle” after Cruz’ relentless and withering barrage of surgical interrogation concerning domestic drone strikes on U.S. citizens, and he heroically helped lead the successful effort to stop the gun-grabbers’ recent flurry of bills dead in their tracks.
The word is out everywhere that Cruz is one of the key forces to be reckoned with among anyone currently in office, of any party. Â And it’s getting to be a lot of fun watching and listening to the socialists twist and scream with foaming desperation as they try to cope with the fact that he stands in their way, grinning and throwing intellectual and legislative spike-strips in their criminal paths.Â
I can’t wait to see what Cruz does with Eric Holder’s declared position that a pathway to U.S. citizenship is a “civil right” for illegal aliens!
Somewhere I read that not only Cruz’ politics and agenda, but also his very appearance, are being likened to those of the aggressively anti-communist late senator Joseph McCarthy. Â I’m happy to concur with that comparison, and I sincerely declare that I’m all for the reincarnation of Joe McCarthy in the person of Ted Cruz!Â
Cruz’ senior thesis at Princeton was about the Constitution’s separation of powers, and it was titled “Clipping the Wings of Angels.”  It was inspired by a quote attributed to James Madison:  “If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary.”  Cruz argued that the authors of the Constitution intended to protect the rights of their constituents by constraining, stopping, the otherwise ever-encroaching power of government in specific ways, through the 9th and 10th Amendments contained in the Bill of Rights.Â
Ted Cruz knows, as our nation’s Founders knew, that people in government are not angels, and that they need to be checked and curtailed, using the Constitution, in their natural human tendency toward soaring abuses of power. Â
Thank God our Founders also foresaw that deranged race-panderers like Bill Richardson would seek to falsely undermine leaders like Ted Cruz by implying not that he’s merely no angel, but that he’s something much worse in today’s identity politics –“acting white”! Â And thank God, again, that Republican non-angels, “whacko birds,” like Ted Cruz are here today, to help clip the corrupt wings of whatever Diane Feinstein and Eric Holder falsely imagine themselves to be.
