Already taking the heat for secretly obtaining phone records of Associated Press reporters, it turns out the Department of Justice also went into Fox News’ computer servers and obtained emails from reporter James Rosen. The DOJ claims that a terrorism story was leaked to the press and put American lives at risk.
“This isn’t about us. It just so happens that this time it’s one of our reporters,” Shepard Smith said. He asked Fox News senior judicial analyst, Judge Napolitano, if Rosen did every single thing the DOJ listed in the subpoena against him, where’s the crime?
