Who is David Stein? Should Conservatives Be Worried?

Written by Pauline Wolak on May 8, 2013

The more I searched, the more lies and half-truths I seemed to uncover.

Which brings us back to David Cole. To borrow from Mark Twain, reports of his “death have been greatly exaggerated.” He HAD “surfaced publicly” and often.

At Republican events.

On websites.

Producing films.

Reinventing himself.

David Stein is actually David Cole. They are two sides to the same twisted coin.

And David Cole has publicly admitted it.

It would appear he came forward in an interview with The Guardian to blunt the reaction he knew would come from associates and friends. Privately, many of them expressed outrage, shock, and anger. Most have avoided public comment, including for this story. And who can blame them? No one wants to be associated with an admitted liar and con.

As for David Cole, too many questions have been left unanswered. His story is too neat, too tidy. And it completely discounts what we do know. He’s a liar. His resume is a fake. His life as David Stein is rife with fraud.

And he’s no conservative. It’s certain the right has disowned him and disavowed his ridiculous beliefs. It’s irresponsible for any journalist to both accept his lies and attempt to spin them into an indictment of conservatives.

As I was finishing this, a story hit the wires. A 93 year-old man named Hans Lipschis has been arrested in Germany. The former cook at Auschwitz from 1941 -1945 could no longer run from his past. He now awaits the outcome of charges of being an accessory to murder. Perhaps David Cole could learn from Lipschis. The public does not forget the atrocities that occurred at Auschwitz 70 years ago. They aren’t likely to forget the lies perpetrated by the David Cole of 20 years ago.
