Adam Levine: ‘I Hate This Country’. Is That Really A Joke Anymore?
On the NBC show The Voice this past Tuesday, coach and lead singer Adam Levine of Maroon 5 made a comment out of emotion concerning the voting results of that particular show. He was heard saying soto voce. “I hate this country.”
Fans reacted on Twitter with outrage.
Levine responded with the dictionary definitions on his Twitter account: mis·un·der·stand; light·heart·ed; hu·mor·less; joke-
When interviewed by US Weekly on Wednesday, he said: “I obviously love my country very much and my comments last night were made purely out of frustration … Last night’s elimination of Judith and Sarah was confusing and downright emotional for me and my comments were made based on my personal dissatisfaction with the results.”
Do I believe Mr. Levine? Yes, I do. BUT, were the viewers unjustified in their response? No, they were not. Thanks to the incremental anti-American milieu created by the Left over decades.
Remember:
— Our school system, via the NEA’s influence, has been infecting our children’s brains with lies about our Founding, our Founders, our Founding Documents and a plethora of other revisionist refuse that demonizes American Exceptionalism.
— Anti-War protestors, though free to remonstrate, have used that freedom to dump on the nation that has blessed them with the right to do so … with lies upon lies.
— The Media/Hollywood have been complicit in disparaging America, our values and those who serve in our Military, in news stories, TV, Music & Film.
And let’s not forget the first American President who loathed his nation so much he wanted to “fundamentally” change it. And he didn’t stop there, but went on a Mea Culpa Tour to personally genuflect to the world … to further expectorate on the country that blessed him.
So, perhaps Mr. Levine is unfamiliar with what’s going on in this country. As a celebrity, he may not rub elbows with ordinary Americans, but they live where the rubber meets the road.
And that road has been paved with Liberal disdain…
