Justice Kennedy’s Other Shoe Drops: Supreme Court’s Death Blow to Marriage

Even one without Antonin Scalia’s exceptional analytical ability could easily draw that conclusion from the flowery, far-out language in Justice Kennedy’s Lawrence opinion. Quoting an earlier decision, Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pa. v. Casey, 505 U.S. 833 (1992), he wrote:

These matters, involving the most intimate and personal choices a person may make in a lifetime, choices central to personal dignity and autonomy, are central to the liberty protected by the Fourteenth Amendment. At the heart of liberty is the right to define one’s own concept of existence, of meaning, of the universe, and of the mystery of human life. Beliefs about these matters could not define the attributes of personhood were they formed under compulsion of the State.

Seriously? “Define one’s own concept of existence, of meaning, or the universe, and the mystery of human life?” Is this the Supreme Court or the OWN Network? Cue Morris Albert’s “Feelings,” and let’s all have a good cry, followed by a group hug.

Advocates of same sex marriage are actually correct when they bleat “my marriage doesn’t harm anybody else.” It’s impossible to harm what has already been destroyed. Approval of so-called same-sex marriage is not the latest monumental achievement in the struggle for civil rights. It is the last stop on the elevator down an immorality slime pit. We could never have reached it if traditional marriage had not been decimated by the moral degradation that started in the 1960’s, with the acceptance of unmarried couples shacking up and having children out of wedlock.

It received the seal of approval from the Supreme Court in Lawrence v. Texas. Now we have arrived at the end of the line, for now. Coming soon: polygamy, same-sex polygamy, inter-species marriage, inter-species polygamy. We are limited only in the ability of human beings to devise new forms of perversion.

And it all started because a homosexual in a snit called in a fake police report.
