NSA Scandal and the Safety Dance: Where Have All the Protests Gone?
Our intelligence professionals are the best in the business and have worked tirelessly to keep this country safe for decades. But employing a data aggregation strategy, while mandating a politically-correct approach, is akin to fishing with nets that have cut-outs shaped like bottle-nosed dolphins. Sure, you’ll avoid catching any dolphins but a heckuva lot of other fish will get through too! And perhaps that’s the point. Cloward & Piven after all…
Once again, some Americans are demonstrating that they aren’t worthy of liberty or safety, in the eyes of Benjamin Franklin. This is nothing new. Sheeple have been around since civilization began. But it is important to teach our ovine countrymen that peace cannot be found through safety, especially safety which involves kneeling to lick the hand of our bureaucratic masters.
As my brother-in-Christ once said to a room full of German pastors who were vacillating between rebellion to Hitler or shameful obedience:
There is no peace along the way of safety. For peace must be dared, it is itself the great venture and can never be safe. Peace is the opposite of security. To demand guarantees is to want to protect oneself. Peace means giving oneself completely to God’s commandment, wanting no security, but in faith and obedience laying the destiny of the nations in the hand of the Almighty God, not trying to direct it for selfish purposes. Battles are won, not with weapons, but with God. They are won when the way leads to the cross.
