Same-Sex Marriage: Where Is The Red Line of Morality?

He went on to add that he does not see same-sex relationships as “destructive or evil.”

Lastly, and most importantly, it is important for us because we need to understand that sexual identity originates from God. In the beginning, God laid out His definition of marriage when He said “A man shall leave his mother and father and hold fast to his wife and become one flesh”.

Later in the Gospels Jesus affirms this definition of marriage in Matthew 19:5-6 when He says; “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”

This is important because I believe He is the only one who gets to define marriage and, regardless of whether you are a Christian, Muslim, Pagan, Atheist, Buddhist, or Hindu, some deeper thoughts should be considered before our nation allows the federal government to take it upon itself to draw that moral red line, because, ultimately, we have to ask: where does it stop?
