The Throne Room of America: What Lies Ahead For American Conservatives?

My hope is that they will do what I have done and respond to Reince Priebus’ mail-in surveys with a big, fat checkmark next to the “No Contribution” box and a note which reads, “I would be happy to support the Republican Party when the Republican Party starts supporting me and candidates who stand firm on the issues which matter to me.” If enough of us withdraw support, the party will fold faster than President Obama playing poker with Vladimir Putin.

There will be a party which fills the gap left by the Grand Old Party’s demise, whether it is the Tea Party or another. This New Party had better get something straight from Day One: to be persuasive you need to be credible, to be credible you must be competent and trustworthy. This means putting forth candidates who base their positions on their convictions, not the latest polling data. This means forgoing career politicians in smart suits with “electability” oozing from their pomade-dappled collars in favor of authentic men and women who are capable and honest. This means dropping the talking points in favor of policy points, because we’ve heard enough talking already. More than anything, this means restoring the trust which has been slaughtered between the American voter and “conservative” politicians.

If this New Party starts with the determination to establish an unwavering, moral foundation, the candidates will come and the votes will follow. The candidates might not look as nice and sound as pretty as what we’re accustomed to, but they’ll accomplish something far better. They’ll fight the enemies of this nation who have taken up residence in the throne room of America. We thought we lit the match and barred the doors to the throne in 1776, but loathers of liberty have rehabbed and renovated the throne room and put suicidal, progressive madness on the throne.

Luke Hamilton

Luke Hamilton is classically-trained, Shakespearean actor from Eugene, Oregon who happens to be a liberty-loving, right-wing, Christian constitutionalist. When not penning columns for ClashDaily.com, Hamilton spends his time astride the Illinois-Wisconsin border, leading bands of liberty-starved citizens from the progressive gulags of Illinois to [relative] freedom. Hamilton is the creative mind/voice behind Pillar & Cloud Productions, a budding production company which resides at www.PillarCloudProductions.com. He owes all to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whose strength is perfected in his weakness.
