Cover Story: Rolling Stone and Portrait of a Terrorist

Sorry, Rolling Stone, but neither poor research nor intentional misinterpretation of the facts is acceptable.
The caption’s assertion that Tsarnaev was “failed by his family” and “fell into radical Islam” unequivocally implies that he is a victim in this heinous event. His family came to the United States about ten years ago from their region of Chechnya, ran afoul of the law for repeated shoplifting and had trouble assimilating to American life; and the parents returned to Chechnya to shoplift whatever might still be on the shelves in that paradise. The brothers opted to remain in the United States, since they seemed to like the opportunities and lifestyle here. How many kids that come from difficult family situations set about to become mass murderers as a result? Facts and statistics thoroughly rebuff the faulty assertions made by Rolling Stone.
The use of the phrase “fell into radical Islam” is clearly an attempt to exonerate this beast as a passive victim of circumstance. They make it sound as though he was just a faithful old donkey that his evil brother loaded up with explosives and sent him on an innocent errand at the Boston Marathon finish line. Just pause a second and let that last sentence sink in, then focus your mind on the video footage we have all seen of the two brothers DELIBERATELY making their way through heavy crowds along the finish line, DELIBERATELY setting their bombs down carefully in preselected spots, and then DELIBERATELY getting a safe distance away to DELIBERATELY detonate them. In one video, you can see 8-year old Martin Richard and his little sister directly in front of Tsarnaev, as he DELIBERATELY sets his bomb on the ground; a bomb that would claim Martin’s life and both of his sister’s legs a moment later.
How dare Rolling Stone attempt to paint this monster as a victim. How dare they haunt the families of Martin Richard, Krystle Campbell, Lu Lingzi and Sean Collier with this gruesome reminder of unspeakable evil and treachery. How dare they taunt the multitude of limbless victims of this creep’s DELIBERATE act of terrorism by lionizing him on the cover of their “vaunted” magazine. Why not make Jeffrey Dahmer or Timothy McVeigh their “Man Of The Year”?
Rolling Stone, how DARE you survive to publish even one more edition of your rot. Your prestige is long gone, along with any credibility you once had.
