Story That Must Be Told, Pt 4: School Daze Courtesy of John Dewey

Are you beginning to smell a little stinky rat?

Sure, but you say, ‘We didn’t really know that the USSR (and communism) was all that bad back then? And weren’t they our allies during WWII?” Well, yes. But, just prior to this, they were ALSO allied to Adolph Hitler (through the secret German-Soviet Boundary and Friendship Pact) until Hitler decided to invade them in 1941, thereby terminating the “friendship” part of the pact, along with about 50 million human beings.

Educated men like John Dewey should have known better about what was going on in the USSR. He was either grossly incompetent or simply ignored the truth about the horrors of that regime, and pushed his Marxist agenda ahead anyway.

Regardless, Dewey went on to become the “father” of progressive education in America. He had written that, “all of man’s experiences, in an attempt to understand and to alter his environment, are continuing and variable, and therefore not subject to interpretation by any fixed or basic principles.”

To make matters worse, many of Dewey’s cohorts and followers were even more indoctrinated into this tragic mindset. Harold Rugg, President of the American Educational Research Association, wrote in The Great Technology,

A new public mind is to be created. How? Only by creating tens of millions of new individual minds and welding them into a new social mind … Old stereotypes must be broken up and new climates of opinion formed in the neighborhoods of America. But that is the task of the building of a science of society for the schools. … appropriate to the new social order.

A new social order. A new social mind.

It’s not about improving education for “progressives.” It’s about “a new social order,” brought about not by peoples and societies interacting with one another, but brought about through mandates by a small number of well connected elites.

Next week, we’ll talk about the National Education Association and why it has such a disastrous stranglehold on American education — and on our future. In the meantime, enjoy the constant barrage of affronts to our society and to our Rights as free born people, courtesy of our friends in the international cabal of Cultural Marxists – and their friends.
