FLOP: Lohan’s ‘Comeback Film’ Pulls in $30k, Which is Just $30k More Than My Film I Didn’t Make

It was the comeback film that Lindsay Lohan desperately needed.

But even early snippets of the low-budget erotic thriller The Canyons – which showed Lindsay in various states of undress – did not seem to be the material of a surefire box office hit.

Now, the film that was recently savaged by critics has made a shocking $30,100, making it Lindsay’s biggest flop to date in terms of opening weekend figures.

In the movie – which cost a reported $250,00 to make – Lindsay plays Tara an actress who is involved with a young movie producer – played by real life porn star James Deen.

The disappointing box office result is a far cry from what Lindsay was used to in her heyday.

Her smash hit comedy Mean Girls made an impressive $86million in 2004, while even the lackluster Herbie: Fully Loaded made $64million in 2005.
