Media Makes the Point: Navy Yard Shooter NOT a Terrorist

Written by Steve Bowers on September 18, 2013

Just a quick observation on the Shipyard Shooter.  While there seemed to be a lot of confusion and disinformation about this jerk, the Media was quick to point out he was not a terrorist, nor was his act an act of terrorism. Just like the Fort hood shooter, who was not a terrorist, either.

The Fort Hood creep was simply shouting “Allah Akbar” while gunning down his fellow soldiers as a result of “workplace stress.” He was forced into his shooting scenario due to blatant racism, anti-Islamic sentiment, sexism, Tail-Hook, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the failed “Cash for Clunkers” gambit, resistance to Obamacare and the generally nasty attitude of middle Americans against the rubbish foisted on us by the current administration. No wonder he flipped!

The poor guy had received a (mostly) free education enabling him to be a doctor (shrink) in the richest country on Earth. Probably no student loans to pay back as long as he did his stretch in the Army. An officer’s commission in the mightiest army on Earth. The possibility of advancement. All the prestige that goes with these things. (Of course, he was no pretty boy, which can weigh heavy in America.) Maybe the stress of a sense of obligation to his “adopted” country got to him. With all that stress, and as an Army officer, psychiatrist, welcomed son of two Palestinian immigrants and well armed kook, he did the rational thing and started shooting. The “Allah Akbar” thing was just a fun ruse.

But he was NOT a terrorist (in spite of his subsequent admissions and court room shenanigans of beard growing and nasty pronouncements against his adopted homeland).

So, I for one am greatly relieved to learn the Shipyard Shooter is also NOT a terrorist. In fact he is  … ooops … was … a Buddhist.  The Administration’s experts over at FBI can tell these things by just looking at a stiff on a coroner’s table. So just keep moving. Nothing to see here.

Steve Bowers grew up on a farm in Indiana, attended Indiana University and went into the construction business. While working on a construction project at a law school he was appalled at how lawyers could screw stuff up on a simple building project. Thinking he could do better, Steve went to law school. He’s pretty naive.
