A Kansas City mother grossly violated the no-snitching code that’s prevalent in the hood by turning in her son after seeing him on video robbing an 85-year-old military veteran during a home invasion.
The 85-year-old military veteran, who is also disabled, had been robbed twice within a couple of days, and both episodes were caught on surveillance video. He was badly beaten during the first robbery, and two days later, the urban terrorists struck again.
During the second robbery, his home surveillance video showed Michael Bray, eighteen, knocking on the door and then pointing a gun at the senior when he answered. With the senior fearing for his life and not resisting, Bray signaled the other urban terrorists (eight) to come in and even held open the door as they anxiously rushed into the house like hyenas pursuing a fresh kill. The video even shows one of the urban terrorists running down the block at top speed to join the feeding frenzy.
After stealing a rifle, handgun, thousands of rounds of ammunition and smart-phone, they fled the home. Thankfully, the 85-year-old veteran survived another battle, albeit domestic.
When the local media repeatedly aired the upsetting footage, Michael Bray’s mother recognized and confronted him. It was then that he admitted his involvement, and shortly thereafter, she ushered him to the police station.
Bray was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, and two counts of armed criminal action. Thanks to the video and public input, some of the other urban hyenas were charged. The hunt for the rest is ongoing.
The noticeable fact that only one parent (out of the nine perpetrators) did the right thing, confirms the power of the no-snitch ideology. Until that destructive mindset is defeated, crime and victimization rates will remain disproportionately high in the Black community.
With the abundance of baby mamas/daddies and scarcity of mothers/fathers in the hood, criminal behavior is always justified, and daringly turning in a criminal will have the do-gooder shunned as if he/she joined the Republican Party. In the hood, the criminals are typically defended with comments such as, “He ain’t do nothin” or “Naw, he ain’t the type to do somethin’ like dat.” All of it is simply cover.
For instance, Katrina Elkins, the aunt of De’Marquise Elkins, the urban terrorist who killed 1-yr-old Antonio Santiago during a robbery, told the press, “There is no doubt in my mind that he is innocent.” Further, “He was with us the whole time.” She also stated that she told the same things to the police when asked about her nephew’s whereabouts during the alleged time of the crime. Well, unfortunately for her, those police followed the evidence instead of her predictable protectionism, which ultimately got her and De’Marquise’s mother (her sister) booked for giving false statements to authorities.
Even though I hope that some jailhouse veteran will show these urban terrorists the same disrespect that was shown to the 85-year-old military veteran, I’m glad that the Kansas City mother did what was right by society standards, instead of what was right by hood standards. Undoubtedly, future victims were saved by her bravery.
