Government Shutdown: Closed Until Further Notice … It’s All a Game
So, the government is shut down. Apparently, it’s a big deal. Has anyone noticed that it’s all a game of politics? The White House is specifically selecting what parts of the government apparatus to shut down and what parts to leave open. It also appears that those selections are politically based to affect pubic opinion. They don’t appear to be based on “non-essential” status. Things like the Presidential dog walker and all of Mrs. O’s staff are all essential. They must stay. President Obama’s caddy, he’s still working. Odd stories are surfacing about some places that the White has tried to shut down. The White House’s has attempted to close privately funded operations to make it look like part of the government shutdown.

Why? Why would they do that? Politics of course. It’s got nothing to do with any amount of funding we have or don’t have. The only goal appears to be inflicting as much visible discomfort on the American people while firmly casting that blame on the evil Republicans. The “cherry picking” of certain parks and things to close is a blatant attempt to control the story. Privately funded parks, museums, an old-time store from the days of the founders, and even George Washington’s Mt. Vernon have all been either shut down or had pressure applied to try to make them shut down. These things aren’t federally run or funded. That in itself makes a mockery of the entire thing. The powers that be are trying to paint a picture here to manipulate the American people. That means it’s not a real shut down. It’s all a game. The Obama Administration is playing a brazen game of politics with all of us and I find it repulsive.
The capper on the whole thing is the WWII memorial story. I wanted to write about that, but there are tons of stories out there already. This one really chaps my hide. We have park officials, who are obviously not part of the shut down, specifically ordered to construct a barricade to keep American Vets out of their very own open air memorial! It’s mind-numbing! Who does that? Oh yeah, our government does it. I thought the White House was against building fences to keep people out?
I’m from Iowa. Our state has provided a peek into the thinking on the subject of honoring our Veterans and fence building. One of Iowa’s Congressmen, the Honorable Steve King, actually helped our Vets break in to see their memorial on the first day it was closed.
Another of Iowa’s Congressmen, Bruce Braley, a Democrat, and US Senate candidate, was photographed actually helping build the wall to keep out our Vets! I’m seriously stunned. What kind of moronic, sycophant, Pelosi-Reid-Obama-worshipping-yes-man is he? He is so passionately against our Vets that he wanted to help keep them out of a memorial that has no employees, no building, nothing but cool stuff to look at. He hates American Soldiers so much that he wanted to partake in the efforts to physically keep them out of the memorial to their fallen friends. He is now officially in the running for Jackwagon of the Year. However, it is a packed field for that award this year.
The newest addition to this crazy story is that the government is now attempting to close “The Ocean”. Yes, it’s true. Crazy knows no bounds. This is getting hard to watch. The level of disdain for the average American must be at an all-time high. They truly think we are stupid. Or maybe they forgot that Al Gore invented the internet allowing bloggers and anyone with a camera phone to break a story. I’m starting to root for the shutdown. Let’s see how long we can keep the government closed. Close more of it down. I wonder what they will try to shut down next. Air? I can see it now. Air is officially closed due to the shut down. No breathing is allowed without express written approval from the White House.
