World War 2 Veterans: Storming the Barriers, Again!

Immediately following the beginning of the so-called “government shut-down,” the administration begun the tedious, costly, and unnecessary process of erecting barriers around national memorials, such as the World War II Memorial.

However, an “Honor Flight” for World War 2 veterans was already scheduled to visit the memorial that same week.

And for those of you who don’t already know, “Honor Flights” are a privately-run organization dedicated to helping aging veterans — many of them in wheel chairs or otherwise infirmed—to fly into Washington for free to visit the memorials that were designed to honor them.

Upon their arrival, the veterans, a number of them in wheel chairs, were told that the memorial was closed to visitors during the shut-down.

However, one of the officers, himself a veteran, refused to keep these heroes from seeing their memorial. And thanks to the help of some good and decent Republican Congressmen, such as Rep. Michelle Bachmann, who removed the barriers, these veterans had the chance to see the memorial that America dedicated to their service.

It was not the first time these brave soldiers had charged the barriers of a hostile government and opposed the actions of a tyrannical leader.

But since that time, the Obama administration has reacted to this political embarrassment by erecting even more substantial barriers around these largely open-air memorials and intimidating our veterans with personnel aided by German shepherd attack dogs.

German Shepherds, huh?

That is kind of appropriate, because this administration is increasingly looking like the Nazis from Hitler’s Germany.

And before you think I am exaggerating my use of this term for the Obama administration, I challenge you to tell me the difference.

No, they haven’t yet started herding people into boxcars headed for prison or extermination camps, but they are perfectly willing to embrace the very same nations that deny the Holocaust or wish to institute another deadly purge of the Jewish people.

Despite his narcissistic and tyrannical ideas to the contrary, Obama doesn’t own this nation’s memorials and landmarks.

Obama is not a king or an imperial president.

What gives Obama the right to shut off access to visitors who wish to see Mount Rushmore?

What makes Obama think he has the power to obstruct tourists from viewing the Iwo Jima Memorial?

What gives Obama the idea that he has the authority to shut off the seas and oceans to charter fishing boats?

But perhaps that is to be expected from Obama, a man with delusions of Godhood, who once pompously claimed his election would heal the planet and stop the seas from rising.

These are not the actions of a reasonable man who just wants to help the Middle Class. These are the actions of someone who wishes to abuse and deny the rights of the citizens he has already sworn to protect.

And those are the sort of actions which were so greatly feared by our Founders.
This is not a government shut-down.

This is an Obama temper tantrum.

You are witnessing the actions of an arrogant, power-crazed, would-be dictator, an insignificant little man who is outraged about the Constitutional restriction of his office, limiting the power of someone who would behave like…

Well, someone who would behave exactly like Barack Obama.
