Stop! In the Name of the Law! You’re Under Arrest … BB Gun Owners

Written by S.C. Sherman on December 14, 2013

One year ago … I wrote a gun control article for Clash about BB guns. Titled- Even BB GunsReally? Last year, I bought both my boys Daisy Red Riders for Christmas. They were a hit. It turns out that American boys like getting BB guns for Christmas. It’s seems to be part of becoming a man. Sort of a right of passage. Maybe that’s what the anti-gunners don’t like. They want their men … much more METRO than MACHO! Well, I may be part of a dying breed, but I gave my boys weapons. Apparently, if we lived in New Jersey my awesome Christmas present would be a felony!

That’s right, my boys could be arrested for illegal possession of an unlicensed firearm with the vicious destroyer … the Daisy Red Rider. Forget poking your eye out … the boys will learn all kinds of cool things in juvenile jail. New Jersey has something called the Graves Act which is really fantastic. It’s designed to make everyone really safe, by criminalizing most everything related to legal weaponry. Just the other day, Governor Chris “The Big Man” Christie signed ten more gun control laws into effect. I guess being the second strictest gun control state wasn’t enough for Chrispy Crème Christie.

He had to make sure dangerous little boys with air powered weapons were regulated. I’ve had about all I can stand of this crap. How does this craziness come to be? This guy thinks he’s a presidential candidate. A lot of RINOs think he’s just swell. All I can say is in Iowa, Christie is not going to find a warm reception if outlawing BB guns is A-OK! What a moron! He’s a governor? How? New Jersey must be real proud. I only wish he could be the leader of the free world so BB guns can be outlawed everywhere!

Jersey is only slightly less controlled than my neighboring state of Illinois where Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy just declared that carrying a loaded firearm is a gateway crime to murder! That’s brilliant. Who knew? I didn’t realize that legally carrying a weapon to protect my family from the onslaught of the hordes of psychos our jacked-up world is producing was actually a crime. And not just a regular crime; it’s a slippery slope to murder. That makes perfect sense. A desire to protect innocent people easily turns right into wanting to kill innocent people. Oh yeah, I follow that logic.

Another moron! How do these people end up in powerful places?

Well, perfect segue into my book titled MERCY SHOT. Imagine a really far out fiction novel where a perfectly innocent, concealed carrying citizen thwarts a psycho, but for some outlandish reason, he finds himself charged with MURDER! How do fiction authors make this stuff up? I mean that could never happen in real life, it’s just a fiction book. Someone legally defending himself and his friends has nothing to fear from our government, do they? It could never happen for real. Could it? This is America right? We wouldn’t arrest someone for having a BB gun would we? Yes, we would and in New Jersey we are. Wake up folks; we need all hands on deck to preserve what rights we have left. The struggle is not coming, it’s here. What to do?

Step 1- Buy my book Mercy Shot for all your patriotic, 2A loving friends and family. Okay, that won’t immediately solve any problem, other than raise awareness and scare you as to how far the anti-gunners might actually go. There really is nothing like it on the market. You will love it and your friends will thank you for giving it to them. You can get it a signed copy at or Amazon for regular or Kindle versions at

Step 2- Go buy a BB gun for your kid, before it’s too late!

Step 3- Speak up, push back, join a local 2A group.

Doug “The Big Dawg” Giles’ reviews Mercy Shot: “Mercy Shot is a riveting, modern tale of the twisted and insidious war that’s being waged against our Second Amendment rights. S.C. Sherman does a great job of forecasting in this timely tome of how things could possibly go down. My advice is to a.)Read this book and b.) Buy a stack of guns and ammo, pretty damn quick.
