A Church burglary arrest occurred after authorities say it was a “selfie” photo that led detectives to the suspect tied to the Southern California church case. Detectives found a phone at the Chula Vista crime scene, where a laptop, cash and watches were stolen.
The thief or thieves also broke into a recreational vehicle parked on the property and stole several purses and watches. The total loss was estimated at $10,000.
On the phone was a photo of the suspect, who had apparently snapped of himself. What better way to get caught? Police knew they had the person responsible for the burglary.
