The Two-Pronged Conspiracy: It’s Time for the Tin Foil Hats

With last week’s blizzard that hit the east coast, the conspiracy theories were coming out of the woodwork. I saw numerous posts on Face Book from people claiming that the snow was really plastic and that they suspected some sort of government plot behind it all. The subject posts would link to a video showing someone trying to melt the “snow” with a lighter. Their “proof” was that no water was produced and that the remaining snow would turn black with an odor of burnt plastic. One person responded that what was occurring was “sublimation”, where a solid turns directly to a gas when heated. In fact, most of the posts admitted that if they held the snow in their hands for any length of time, it would melt into water.

That people would actually believe that such conspiracies exist may seem silly at first, but what is not funny is that their willingness to believe such is indicative of the widespread lack of trust in our government. Based upon reality, such mistrust is completely understandable. I believe that there is a very real conspiracy to rob the American people of their liberty and to exploit them for money and power. I believe that we are threatened by a criminal cabal of big labor, big business (includes the financial industry) and big government. Politicians and their corporate cronies in business and labor are enriching themselves on the backs of Americans. Wow! I’m a Populist!

The present administration’s dictatorial power grabs, bypassing our elected representatives and ruling by executive fiat are cause for concern that our elected officials seek to expand their control over every aspect of our lives. The willingness of the Republican leadership to roll over and allow this tyranny makes them complicit. I often wonder about the extent of corruption in D.C. and if there is some blackmailing going on. The latest plan of Speaker Boehner to go along with Obama and offer amnesty to illegal aliens is evidence of the collusion. More suspicion of a conspiracy to exploit American workers is raised by the support of big business for amnesty. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is pushing for amnesty and the Republicans are getting financial support from people like Zuckerberg to fund their immigration campaign.

GOP leadership released a statement of principles for their immigration plan which is intended to mollify amnesty opponents by promising that amnesty would be contingent upon enforcement. We’ve heard that ruse before when the last big amnesty was offered, so excuse us if we are skeptical. As National Review points out, enforcement would be dependent upon the President’s willingness to enforce the law. We all know that Obama only enforces laws he likes and to this point has refused to enforce border security. So, excuse us Mr. Speaker if we suspect you of collaborating with the President’s plan to add millions of illegal immigrants to the voting rolls. As a number of political pundits have pointed out, this would make it unlikely that the Republicans would ever win the Presidency again. Rush Limbaugh and Pat Buchanan have both equated Boehner’s plan with political suicide.

Why would someone plot the destruction of the political party that they represent? It smacks of conspiracy to me. I have come to realize that the progressives/ liberals/ Marxists/ socialists (take your pick) have a two-pronged strategy for maintaining a permanent majority. The first prong involves the massive importation of cheap, low-skilled labor to support their crony capitalist donors. These low information masses will be attracted to entitlement programs making them dependent upon their political benefactors, thus insuring their allegiance at the polls.

The second prong is federal control of public education. We are witnessing the latest expansion of federal control with the adoption of the Common Core standards. Through federal control of education, the criminal cabal of big government, big business and big labor can insure the socialist indoctrination and dumbing down of the next generation. By creating a permanent dependent class of low information voters the cabal can maintain power indefinitely. I have been a proponent of dismantling public education in order to save our Republic. Unlike the political battles we face with immigration, there are easier methods for toppling the federal control of education. The whole system would collapse if parents refused to participate. Instead we are witnessing much energy by well meaning people to reverse Common Core when it is simply a symptom of the fundamental problem.

They’re whacking at the branches and ignoring the root of this weed. If they succeed, the statists will simply put a new face on this beast. The problem is government control.
This President has given us all reason to suspect a grand plan to enslave us. Along with taking over and destroying our health care, expanding domestic spying, using the IRS to harass his opposition, rewarding his cronies while devastating our economy and attacking our religious freedoms, he seeks to disarm us. An armed citizenry is the only thing standing between him and total control. Shouldn’t his behavior be suspect?

So there you have it; I’m rolling out the tin foil. Based upon some social media research, I’m not alone. The number of people advocating civil war is frightening. Apparently, the government is taking them seriously as it continues to arm the DHS domestic army and militarize local police. I’m afraid it will not end well for them or all of us. Too much has changed since 1776. We must prevent this cabal from putting a fork in us by dismantling the two main prongs.
