Obama, Best Prez in History? Fallacy #6: He’s for Women’s Rights
When Newt Gingrich called Barack Obama the “Food Stamp President”, he was partially right only because Barry goes by many more names and titles than just one. “Mooch”elle likes to call him “the closer”. I have several names and titles for Maobama. Maybe we should call him the “Little Prophylactic President”, little PP for short (the short name could also be in reference to his white inheritance}. If you would like to take out the formal name and replace it with something a little more contemporary, “Rubber Prez” would work. Obama is the only President in history that has had women bowing down to him and actually gaining the female vote because he has given them free contraception via the un-ACA.
Mr. Blogger would lead the misinformed to believe that Republicans/Conservatives want women to stay home, barefoot and naked while withholding all contraception. Don’t forget, we are also the party that wants to push Granny over the cliff and we like dirty water and polluted air. His unwritten reasons why Republicans should be discounted are just as bad as the reasons he think Obama is the “Great One”. Here is Mr. Blogger’s sixth attempt to make Barry the greatest.
6. He is for women’s rights. Obama’s very first executive action as President was to sign the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, a bill specifically designed to annihilate wage discrimination barriers for women. He also fully funded the Violence Against Women Act, which addresses the criminality of sexual assault and domestic violence and provides women with the services needed to overcome such atrocities. President Obama nominated two women to the Supreme Court, including the first Latina justice in American history. Furthermore, Obama has taken exceptional measures to secure grant money for women business owners and get them a fair shake from the Small Business Association.
Surprisingly, Mr. Blogger does not write what Obama reads off his teleprompter because it is inaccurate and misleading. First off, the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act does not “annihilate wage discrimination barriers for women”. If that were the case, there would not still be a seven percent difference between a man and woman’s pay. Secondly, several states have repealed the Ledbetter Law because it “has nothing to do with whether discrimination is illegal or whether women deserve to be paid the same as men for equal work. These laws are about the legal process, the terms under which lawsuits can proceed, how employers can defend themselves against claims, and the statutes of limitations for launching a complaint.” If Lily’s first name would have been Larry, no one would have even known about the Ledbetter Law because it makes no discrimination between a man and a woman other than by name.
The Violence Against Women Act was signed by the one and only “slick willy” Clinton on September 13, 1994. I wonder if that was done out of guilt for all his sexual harassment issues. When this Act was revisited by Obama, there were procedural objectives that were in question by the GOP but when all was said and done, the VAWA received bi-partisan support. Mr. Blogger and others of his ilk would like to paint the picture that Republicans are anti-women. The liberals are known for making additions to a bill creating opposition from the “right” and then making false allegations.
President Reagan nominated the first female, Sandra Day O’Connor, to the Supreme Court. She was known to be a “Federalist and a moderate Conservative” unlike Justice Sotomayor that has said it is alright to abort babies…. CNSNews.com) – At her confirmation hearing this week, Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor refused to give her personal views on abortion. However, Sotomayor spent more than a decade serving on the board of the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund (PRLDEF), a group that opposes “any efforts” to “in any way restrict” abortion”. We have seen Sotomayor’s voting record and it is not in favor of any American, man or woman!
Next we have Elena Kagan that Obama appointed to the Supreme Court. She hates the military as much as Obama. I am sure most remember this distancing of the ROTC on college campuses. “Conservatives know Kagan as the Harvard Law School Dean who tried to bar the military from college campuses, an issue she fought all the way to the Supreme Court”. If you have the time, take a look at her record on abortion, terrorist detainees and gun control. She is a real winner in Bambi’s book. Just another Femi-Nazi hell bent on making us pay.
Obama is a divisive president separating us by class, gender, race and religion. His attempt to accomplish good for the United States is a failure in every area. Liberals can call us anti-women, Bible-thumping, gun-totin’ racist every day of the year, but those that are aware of the facts understand core Conservative values. This Conservative respects all moral and ethical rights of all women and stands with the party that holds true to the same.
One final question: We know Obama is supportive of Islam. Where does he stand on Sharia law and its violations of women’s rights?
