America’s Founding Fathers understood that big, centralized, concentrated government was a bad idea. So they invented a system of divided government and wrote a Constitution that limited the power of the divided government. They deferred to the States the powers not specifically attributed to the central government of the United States.
The system worked effectively for 150 years until the so-called Progressives – really Fabian-Socialists – began to assert themselves and gradually affect the thinking of politicians, bureaucrats and voters. Whereas the Founders expected individuals to manage their own affairs in an environment of maximum freedom – the Progressives and their indoctrinated minions have moved strategically in the opposite direction – the direction of Karl Marx and his Communist-ideological followers.
Although Marxism has failed wherever it has been tried, Obama/Reid/Pelosi/Clinton/
Liberal-Leftists/and many Democrats have intuitively succumbed to many Marxist ideas – not the least of which is Obamacare, government control of education, unending entitlements, outrageous taxation of the rich and productive investment class, the de-emphasis of the work ethic, the rejection of American Exceptionalism, etc.
Certainly the Progressive formula of the Democrats has led the U.S.A. into significant decline, however one cares to measure it. Only the political-class and the crony-capitalists have benefited under their leadership. Prices are up while the Obama administration tells us inflation is only 2%. Gross DECEPTION! Next they tell us unemployment is down to 6.3%, when in fact it is well over 12%, and in the case of our youngsters, over 20%. More DECEPTION!
While Obama promised more honest and transparent government, he has hidden under his desk, or perhaps I should say, behind his teleprompter, while gushing unprecedented deceptions on virtually every issue. Obama DECEPTION! He has spent more money than past presidents combined – and yet talks about his budget cuts when, in fact, government spending is increasing. Government DECEPTION! Obama and his family have spent more on extravagant vacations and quasi business trips than any other president – while criticizing the rich and those who have invested their time and money in the American economy. Economic DECEPTION!
Of course the greatest tragedy of all is the gullibility of so many American voters – taken in by the gush of Liberal-Leftist propaganda – power seeking career politicians – and job-protecting bureaucrats, etc.
Is America as we once knew it – as the Founding Fathers envisioned it – as the Democrat Party once promoted it – a thing of the past? I fear that is indeed the case. And when you consider that American voters have twice elected a most unqualified man as president versus a truly experienced American hero in 2008 – and the most qualified and accomplished man in American political history in 2012 – one can only conclude that the majority of American voters have lost their senses and judgment.
And now the Liberal-Leftist media are attempting to convince the American public that an old, unaccomplished, self-described Progressive female deceiver (Hillary Clinton) – riding on the coattails of her mediocre but charismatic husband – is the presidential answer to America’s current decline. Heaven forbid!
In fact, the Liberal-Leftists Progressives (Democrats) simply don’t get it. . . . When government taxes workers – and pays non-workers – we get more non-workers. We now have 22 million unemployed and underemployed workers. . . . Government Policy Should Make the Poor Rich – Not the Rich Poor! . . . The prosperity of any nation is the result of its collective productivity and its private, economic investment – less the cost of government and nonproductive entitlements – as measured in non-inflated (constant) dollars.
