Obama has, perhaps, done a great favor for the Republican Party by showing the world that the progressive policies, carried to their logical end, only, results in abject failure. Always before, the common complaint of the left is that the progressive policies will work, if, only the right people are in charge. Never before had the right people been in charge. Now with the messiah, Obama, in charge, progressive policies will be perfected, the country will be, fundamentally, changed and the left’s dream finally come true.
The Democrats and the mainstream media hitched their star to Obama and have become so invested in his success that they will prostitute themselves to assure his political success. Democrats in Congress ignored the wishes of their constituents in an unmitigated quest for power and Obama was the person to lead them to the Eden of perpetual power. The mainstream media, abandoning any pretense of objectivity, championed Obama’s candidacy and played down the Republicans’ arguments. The alphabet news corporations became cheerleaders for the messiah. Any Republican, immediately, was branded a racist, sexist, homophobe hell bent on producing dirty air and water and blaspheming the god of climate change. Climate change being the latest term for the inoperative words global cooling and global warming.
The Republican Party, famous for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, hopefully, will be the beneficiary of Obama’s failures. That, however, is not assured. The moderates in the Republican Party refuse to accept the growing influence of the Tea Parties. The leaders, furious, at the Tea Parties primary challenges, vow to crush them and end any threat to their hold on the reins of power. Instead of working with the Tea Parties, Boehner and McConnell have refused their input, thereby, forcing their hand and causing them to run candidates to replace the Speaker of the House, Senate Majority Leader and other RINOs (Republicans In Name Only.) Moderates believe that the electorate reject Tea Party candidates. After being denounced by the so called moderates, it’s a wonder any Tea Party backed candidate gets elected.
This November, the Republicans have the best chance in, perhaps, years of retaking the Senate. Obama’s disapproval rating, Obamacare’s unpopularity, the sorry state of the economy, the constant lies, cover ups, and multiple scandals like Bengahzi, Fast and Furious, etc. have the Democrats shaking in their boots. The whacko statements by Pelosi, Reid et al, just give fodder to the fire of Democrats going down in flames. Add to that, the recently released emails indicating the White House was behind Ambassador Rice’s untruths about Bengahzi and you have further problems for the Democrats.
On top of all this, you add Obama’s unconstitutional usurping of Congressional power and the country, as indicated by recent polls, wants a check on Obama by having both the House and Senate controlled by Republicans. If the Republicans can get their act together by November, the political pendulum will swing once again.
In my many years I have come to a
conclusion that one useless man
is a shame, two is a law firm,
and three or more is a congress.
