1928 was the last boom year of what was known as the Roaring Twenties (before the crash of 1929). In the Western world where freedom, based on Judeo-Christian precepts, was valued …much was happening:
— The first TV is sold.
— Richard E. Byrd starts an expedition to Antarctic; returns in 1930.
— Scotch tape first marketed by 3-M Company.
— 1st US air-conditioned office building opens, San Antonio, TX.
— 1st solo England to Australia flight takes off (Bert Hinkler).
— 1st transatlantic TV image received, Hartsdale, NY.
— 44-yr old NY Ranger GM Lester Patrick replaces his injured goaltender in a Stanley Cup game, & beats Montreal Maroons 2-1.
Meanwhile, in the bowels of the ancient land of the Pharaohs (where my ancestors were enslaved for 400 years, but who’s complaining)…a schoolteacher and imam in Ismailia, Egypt became disgusted with the secularized and moderate form of Islam. Hassan al Banna began a group (men’s, of course), originally called The Society of Muslim Brothers (al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun), later called the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). An Islamist organization that promotes the draconian and barbaric Sharia Islamic Law.
They have been busy buggers since 1928. They have either spawned, financed, promoted or supported most all barbaric Islamist groups descending upon free people today. The list is almost interminable, but I’ll bet you’ll recognize more than one:
CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) – the unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Case, the US funding arm for Hamas. They are involved in a full frontal assault on free speech utilizing Lawfare (using Law as a weapon of war).
Hamas – (Islamic Resistance Movement), started by Ahmed Yassin and Abdel Aziz Rantisi, members of the Muslim Brotherhood. Regularly uses innocent women and children as human shields. Is on the US State Dept. List of Foreign Terrorists. They are the majority party in the Palestinian Authority (PA) government and they refuse to recognize Israel’s right to exist.
ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) – Enforces extremist Wahhabi theological writ in America’s mosques. Established by US-based members of the Muslim Brotherhood who also had a background as leaders of the Muslim Students Association. ISNA is the largest Muslim organization in North America.
ICNA (Islamic Circle of North America) – Its goal is “to seek the pleasure of Allah … through the … establishment of the Islamic system of life as spelled out in the Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad.”
Al Qaeda – Was led by Osama bin Laden. Was responsible for 9/11 attacks. Bombed two U.S. embassies in Africa, killing 301. Bombed the American Navy ship USS Cole, killing 17 and wounding 39. Seeks to acquire weapons of mass destruction to attack the West. Is financially supported by MB.
MSA (Muslim Students Association of US and Canada) – They are a key lobbying organization for the Wahhabi sect of Islam. The flagship of some 600 campus MSA chapters nationwide.
What was sparked in the heart of a maniacal instructor schooled on Muhammed’s maxims, has spawned…and continues to spawn…some the most bloodthirsty barbarians on the globe today.
I guess education is not ALWAYS the answer.
