WHERE’S RESPONSIBLE LEADERSHIP? Emotionalism Reigns in Ferguson

Having lobbied for racial equality during my college days in the late ’50s – having supported affirmative-action for racial equality in the ’60s – having survived the Detroit race riots – having three loveable minority grandchildren in our family – having hired and promoted minorities for management and executive positions – having respected the election of America’s first black president in 2008 . . . it is disappointing to see the lack of mature and responsible leadership in the black community, and the lack of respect for America’s legal system and the rule-of-law.

Facts don’t seem to matter.  It seems all about irrational emotions and preconceived outcomes.  After 60 years, I’m beginning to wonder if minority equality is attainable.  Things seem to be the same – irrational, illegal, out-of-control – much to my chagrin.

It is becoming increasingly clear that the liberal-left Democrats are exploiting the Michael Brown shooting for political purposes – and to distract the media and the voting public from the various Obama administration scandals and inadequacies.

Police power – especially white police power – is normally associated with conservatism and Republicans. What better way to get out the Dem vote – to stir up their base – than to augment a racist based hate campaign against the predominately white law-enforcement and judicial system.

Black Americans need effective law-enforcement more than ever.  According to news reports, during a recent weekend there were 11 shootings, two dead, and 19 wounded, in New York City.  In Chicago there were seven dead, and 29 wounded.

Yet 50 FBI agents were reportedly sent to Ferguson, Mo. to apparently investigate the single shooting of Michael Brown.  Atty. Gen. Eric Holder has gone to Missouri to personally investigate.  The President of the United States made three personal press briefings on the Brown incident, while ignoring the weekend slaughter in our big cities.  Something seems radically out of balance here!

According to the latest reports, Michael Brown, after robbing a takeout store, physically attacked Ofc. Wilson inside his patrol car, tried to take his gun, and then resisted arrest upon Ofc. Wilson’s order to “freeze,” and instead charged the injured officer who fired in self-defense.  And Brown was not shot in the back as originally reported, but from the front, while charging Wilson.  All of this will be clarified when the grand jury investigation is complete.

Once again we are apparently seeing deceptive, out-of-balance, racial manipulation of events by black citizens, by black hustlers, by the Obama Administration, by the leftist media, and by Democrat politicians.  Informed, educated and fair-minded black Americans must be embarrassed by the crude, uninformed, unlawful behavior of the Ferguson, Mo. community.
