PETA Is Angry That One Direction Had A Monkey In Their New Music Video

Well, maybe I can agree with PETA for once.

The group of malnourished, pasty skinned anti almost everything good, fun, and American has come out against boy band flavor of the month One Direction.

Specifically the fact that the British tween oriented group’s new video for “Steal My Girl” features a chimpanzee (Ok. I take it back.  I thought they were against the band as a whole.).  PETA is so upset that a simian is getting paid to appear on film that they have taken out an ad in The Hollywood Reporter stating that animals used on film are almost always abused.

PETA Foundation Deputy General Counsel Delcianna Winders says the ad, “reminds Hollywood of what they won’t see on set—that baby apes are torn from their mothers at birth, abused during training, and then discarded at decrepit facilities.”

Hell, I’d gladly choose to watch that than the One Direction video I had to sit through in order to write this!

One Direction has come out saying they stand by the video and will not remove or edit it in anyway.

Good for you One Direction.

And that concludes the only thing we shall agree upon.
