SOME ‘TOUGH GUYS’: Avenging the Prophet

In the cartoon… Abdul is just being cautious and we get more fun and games from the people Obama cannot bring himself to condemn, because, as is often the case with liberals…he is incapable of recognizing, seeing, smelling, hearing or owning in any way those things which should not exist under his prevailing political philosophy. If Marxism says religion is all false and a delusional dream then people cannot be motivated by falsehoods and…ergo… Islamic terrorists cannot be real.

So let’s not get upset. OK?

But, now, Obama’s ‘tween a rock and a hard place. People are getting wise to his cowardice and perfidy. He has to say something when a bunch of folks, who make their daily bread by poking fun at politics and general baloney, get shot up by jerks shouting “Allahu Akbar” … or whatever it is cowards spew when they murder innocent strangers while avenging the Prophet.

So he offers up some lame and barely respectful sympathetic bromide and in another breath (maybe before the events of yesterday…I cannot fathom even him saying anything at all critical of the French writers now…or ever!) he says the writers at the satirical periodical should have been more “careful” or “judicial” or something lame-wristed like that. I only agree if Obama means the magazine in Paris should have been sandbagged and prickly with 50. caliber M-2s.

Otherwise…if he means the writers/victims should have been more circumspect in their cartoons about “the prophet” a few years ago…I couldn’t disagree more. OK…as a “constitutional scholar” (who has never shown us a scholarly bit of anything he wrote at Harvard Law School from his tenure as prez of the “law review” …even though writing scholarly pieces is the whole reason for law review groups to exist) … as a constitutional scholar…maybe…maybe…he realizes they don’t perhaps enjoy the same rights afforded journalists (or hackneyed cartoonists) under the US Constitution.

Who knows what freedoms French journalists enjoy? But as a “constitutional scholar” Obama should recall that about all any real Constitutional scholar/professor ever discusses in the classroom is the concern Courts have shown for the “chilling effect” any restriction placed on the First Amendment could cause to free speech. In other words…if Obama’s strange overweening respect for all things Islamic is to be given more weight than free speech then he is contrary to the Founders. If that be the case…he is probably contrary to all of our Freedoms. Simple enough.

On another recent development…do you recall when Michelle Bachmann was running for President? She said she would prioritize the lowering of gas prices by allowing domestic drilling. I wondered how she intended to do that. Naturally…closing the EPA and other religious environmentalists down would have probably gotten gas down to under a buck almost six years ago. If you hypothetically assume gas prices at two dollars for the last six years instead of the average of around $3.50 a gallon… how much richer would you be today?

Actually, I don’t know what she was going to do, but it couldn’t have been too difficult because it seems to have happened naturally even though the onerous federal and state taxes remained in effect. Obviously, the development of domestic gas and oil sources has been a big help (can’t you just see those lousy sheiks rending and gnawing the hems of their robes?). (Putin, too?) I’m just glad that it happened.

And notice how the media is always calling Ms. Bachmann “crazy” or “stupid.” Google her name and check. She seems pretty smart to me. She’s a tax lawyer! Man…I didn’t want any part of that “tax stuff” in school. We shouldn’t judge people by how they fumble with loaded questions from the biased media. (Did you ever figure out what those periodicals were that Palin was excoriated for not reading assiduously? I never heard of them.) We should, instead, judge the intelligence of politicians by the results of their actions in office. Remember how JFK brought in those “whiz kids” from Harvard to advise the Pentagon boys …about VIETNAM? How’d that work out?

I saw a picture of Bachmann in front of a gas station sign advertising gas at under two bucks. She’s grinning. It’s an “I told you so” moment. Actually, it should be “I warned you.” I always wonder why Conservative women always seem more attractive than liberal /socialist/commie women. But, while looking at Michelle under that sign it struck me: they are always smiling. Females of a commie/socialist persuasion usually wear a grim “fevered brow” expression. It’s their “game face.”

Jesus said “…as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” What’s in a person’s heart may also leak out onto her face.

Steve Bowers

Steve Bowers grew up on a farm in Indiana, attended Indiana University and went into the construction business. While working on a construction project at a law school he was appalled at how lawyers could screw stuff up on a simple building project. Thinking he could do better, Steve went to law school. He’s pretty naive.
