MORE MELISSA HARRIS-PERRY: Should Life Begin When Parents Decide That it Does?

The battles over life is still raging and even with the progress that has been made over the past several years to limit abortion or to regulate what facilities are allowed to engage in it, liberal ideology still persists in determining when life begins. Can you even imagine that in the 21st century that there would still be news anchors or even journalists who would claim that life actually begins when a parent or parents decide that it does?

As much as the idea sounds absolutely pathetic and without merit, there is still a danger that the ocean is filled with abortion advocates who are ready to put to shore against a baby’s right to life. Do you remember the outlandish claim that was made by MSNBC‘s Melissa Harris-Perry a couple years ago when she wore tampon ear rings?

That was just the tip of the iceberg. This recipient of Planned Parenthood’s Maggie Award, which is given for media excellence actually stated, “When does life begin? I submit the answer depends an awful lot on the feeling of the parents. A powerful feeling – but not science,” according to Live Action News. So according to Harris-Perry a life had essentially no value except as deemed by the parent. Life begins when a parent deems it does.

Think about the illogic of such a proposition. She was stating that a baby was not truly viable up and until a mother decided that she wanted the baby. Sounds like Harris-Perry who is still plying her illogical rants on MSNBC is actually one of the primary reasons that abortion advocates in the media continue to advocate and support late-term abortions.

In Harris-Perry’s world , if a baby is not acceptable to a mother, it is the mother’s right to choose whether or not a baby’s life should be extinguished. So in effect the mother has the legal right to execute the child in the womb all based upon the whims and wishes of a parent. This is deadly dangerous thinking and unfortunately it is feticide thinking as well. Even if political leaders like President Obama will not comment in that way about aborting a life, he has said he does not want his daughters to be saddled by an unwanted life…after all college and life may get in the way.

What about where the line of life and viability is drawn. After all, think about the Nazi’s and their human extermination genocidal practices during World War II. They adopted her illogic and took it to a whole different frightening level. They like her, believed that life and its value was based upon feelings. In the case of the Nazis, life was only viable if they felt that it was and if they did not, then those like the Jews, handicapped, mentally ill, gypsies, and all others that they deemed undesirables, were shipped off to concentration camps for extermination through the gas chambers or crematoriums.

Harris-Perry may be a lunatic-fringe anchor on a lunatic fringe news network that has sinking ratings that are pretty much below the basement, if that is possible. Yet, what happens if there is someone out there listening or reading the rants of the tampon-earring-wearing pseudo-journalist and actually believes life can be exterminated when a parent decides.

After all Adolf Hitler was just an unknown German corporal who designed his future plans for the extermination of millions of Jews while sitting in a beer hall with a pad and a pencil. Who knows who is out there now armed with a computer and a dangerous idea that is now fueled by MSNBC’s liberal pro-abortion diarrhea that is the trigger for a future that creates murder of a baby, a child or someone else because someone like her decides it is right?
