Last year, 18-year-old Raymond Frolander was caught in the act of sexually abusing the 11-year-old boy he was supposed to be babysitting.

The father wasn’t charged with any crimes and the police chief even said, “Dad was acting like a dad.”

On Thursday, Frolander was sentenced to 25 years in prison for molesting a child.

The Daytona Beach News Journal reports on how the boy’s father reacted at Frolander’s sentencing:

After the hearing, the father was short with reporters outside the courtroom.

“He’s going to learn in the next 25 years why I let him live,” the father said.
