19 KIDS AND COUNTING: TLC Makes This Major Move After Josh Duggar Scandal

Published on May 22, 2015

After reports about Josh Duggar’s past have emerged, TLC is making this huge decision about the hit reality TV show.

TLC’s longest running and highest-rated program, 19 Kids and Counting, has been taken off the air.

The show has not been officially cancelled at this time, but has been removed from the network’s lineup.

The move comes one day after Josh Duggar, the oldest son of the family featured on the program, admitted that he molested young girls when he was a teenager.

Making matters worse, it was also revealed that his parents worked to cover up this scandal.

‘Effective immediately, TLC has pulled all episodes of 19 Kids and Counting currently from the air,’ said the network in a statement Friday afternoon.

‘We are deeply saddened and troubled by this heartbreaking situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family and victims at this difficult time.’

The move comes one day after the network decided to run a marathon of the show that heavily featured Josh which outraged many as rumors had begun to circulate of his sexual offenses following a report by InTouch Magazine.
