LBJ V. BARACK OBAMA: Two Different Presidents, Two Different Wars — But A Lot Alike

It’s true. The people running this War are much smarter and more moral than Lyndon B. Johnson, who got his thrills and his “John Wayne Moments” by patching through to guys in the brush in Vietnam and talking about who knows what and all while he was giving hills back to the Commies. (See Ramadi.) The stalwarts currently running the White House, who favor Styrofoam Greek temples and suffer from uncontrollable inclinations to stop the glaciers from melting and panicking polar bears … don’t even know who John Wayne is.

In fact, I have often wished Obama would watch a bunch of John Wayne movies … over and over … so he might unconsciously emulate Duke’s way of walking. I find his “cat walk” sissy gait embarrassing and offensive. It’s particularly irritating when he does it while exiting Air Force One. What must foreign heads of state think when he prances down the rolling stairway? And what about the Marine guard who has to endure Obama’s half hearted salute in conjunction with the prance?

Maybe it’s just me.

Steve Bowers

Steve Bowers grew up on a farm in Indiana, attended Indiana University and went into the construction business. While working on a construction project at a law school he was appalled at how lawyers could screw stuff up on a simple building project. Thinking he could do better, Steve went to law school. He’s pretty naive.
