I have it on good authority that, if the Supreme Court rules against Obama in the Obamacare case, Obama will fall on the floor, kick his feet and stuff beans up his nose. He will find an aid with glasses and carrying an armload of papers to knock the books out of his arms. He is a petulant spoiled brat and a bully. He has insulted the Supreme Court to its face and tried to harangue the court into voting his way.
Obama showed up at the congressional softball game, surprising everyone. After, virtually, ignoring congress for six years, suddenly, he’s everyone’s best friend. He had an awkward moment when he spent time trying to influence Pelosi and then having her vote against him. The reality of being a lame duck president is rearing its head like a cobra. It must be frustrating for him to go so long getting his way and then find his influence waning and legacy slipping away.
Obama must be pouting because he had his nose bloodied over the TPA trade bill. Especially galling to him was that it was Democrats who shot down the bill. Talking about politics making strange bedfellows! The establishment Republicans voted with the president. Not only did he lose a legacy item but he can’t blame it on the “obstructionist” Republicans, a double whammy.
Several Democrats remarked that Obama waited too long to try to establish a relationship with the House. All in all, not a good day for the president.
