SAME-SEX & SCOTUS: How Five Frauds Lit The Fuse Of Rebellion!
Many in America have had to be body-slammed out of their cultural catnap. This week…five draped despots were happy to accommodate…
The destruction created by this quintet of “supreme leaders”, is yet to be revealed…and it will infect and decay every aspect of The Great Experiment.
Here are two critical things this gaggle did, and why it was a constitutional contortion…
1. The majority opinion stated that they “found” an absolute right for same-sex couples to marry. They claim they found this in Article XIV, Section 1. Here’s the problem: Article XIV Section 1 pertains specifically to freed Black Americans, following the abolition of slavery. The majority’s arrogance has clearly brought their ignorance to the fore.
Justice Scalia in his dissent, stated: “They have discovered in the Fourteenth Amendment a ‘fundamental right’ overlooked by every person alive at the time of ratification, and almost everyone else in the time since.”
2. The essence of a democracy, being all forms of dissent, has been crushed. Protection for dissent is enshrined in the First Amendment of our Constitution:
The First Amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
If my faith does not allow me to acknowledge same-sex marriage, that is my Constitutional right to exercise my faith. If I express that opinion, that is my right to free speech and dissent (for which that right was established). By expressing opposition to same-sex marriage, I am both exercising my right to dissent and my right to exercise my religion. I am NOT preventing a same-sex couple from marrying. I am practicing…and participating in…democracy.
These original and precious rights established in The First Amendment, are already being threatened by the government (Justice Roberts wrote: “Indeed, the Solicitor General candidly acknowledged that the tax exemptions of some religious institutions would be in question if they opposed same-sex marriage. [See Tr. of Oral Arg. on Question 1, at 36–38]”).
The rebellion has begun. The fuse has been fecklessly lit by five judicial frauds.
Will democracy be triumphant? Considering our roots, I’d say: Move over, King George…you’re about to have five roomies.
