BLOGGER CRITICIZES ISLAM: So Naturally, They Hack Him to Death In His Home

It’s the Muslim way to hack a naysayer to death with a machete.

Suspected Islamists heavily armed with machetes hacked a blogger to death in his home in Bangladesh today.

Niloy Chatterjee, 40, who used the pen-name Niloy Neel to promote secularism on his blog, was killed in his flat in the capital Dhaka, said police official Mustafizur Rahman.

He is the fourth online blogger, who openly criticised religious extremism, to be killed in Bangladesh in less than six months.

‘We are speechless. He was demanding justice for the killing of other bloggers,’ said Imran Sarker, head of a network of activists and bloggers.

He worryingly said: ‘Who will be next for demanding justice for Niloy?’

Mr Chatterjee had reported to the police that he feared for his life but his concerns had not been followed up the authorities, according to the BBC.
