This sorority from the University of Alabama, called Alpha Phi, was forced to take down their video after people deemed it as ‘too white’. I wonder what would happen if a historically black sorority was called out for being ‘too black’?
A.L. Bailey wrote a column bashing the video and said:
“It’s all so racially and aesthetically homogeneous and forced, so hyper-feminine, so reductive and objectifying, so Stepford Wives: College Edition. It’s all so … unempowering,” the article’s author wrote. “Are they recruiting a diverse and talented group of young women embarking on a college education?
