CBS – The young people joining violent terrorist organizations — like ISIS and al-Shabab — hail from all different walks of life and are very rarely what you’d expect.
In August 2015, for example, two recently married Mississippi State students were arrested trying to join ISIS. Officials say that Muhammad Oda Dakhlalla, 22, and Jaelyn Delshaun Young, 20, conspired to get married, so that they could travel to Turkey and ultimately Syria, under the guise of the trip being their honeymoon.
