My friend, Steven Hildreth, Jr., had an encounter with the Tuscon (AZ) Police Department that, shockingly, did not end in his death. You know, because he’s black. And, as we all know, according to #BlackLivesMatter:
1. All cops are white.
2. All cops are racist.
3. All cops do nothing but actively hunt down and murder black Americans.
So, it’s amazing that Steven survived this harrowing walk “through the valley of the shadow of death,” according to one person whose comment I cannot relocate. It’s not like Steven was an infantryman in the Army and went to war, after all? No, this was far more death-defying. (Note the sarcasm.)
Steven documented his non-violent encounter with police here and it quickly went viral, ending up on dozens of major websites:
You may ask, ‘Why is this important?’ Because this is the norm. This is how it’s supposed to go down. This is how the vast majority of encounters with police should go, period. That goes for all races.
There are some things to note about this post: the content and the reaction to it. First, Steven intended to illustrate that maybe, just maybe, the norm is that cops are good and that this whole ‘cops-are-killing-black-people-indiscriminately’ narrative is a load of BS.
Second, this is a step-by-step illustration of how to interact with a police officer. You’ll notice that he was calm and respectful, and communicated clearly with the officers. You know, like normal people do.
And third, the reaction was immense. Steven has been inundated with thousands of positive comments thanking him for the example that he has set, both as a person and as a black man.
Cue the fake “tolerance” from the Outrage Brigade. This is just a smattering of the vitriolic hate the Steven has been subjected to for merely sharing his experience and suggesting that maybe all cops aren’t white racists that are hell-bent on exterminating black people.
Logic was also in short supply…
Although, Steven doesn’t take things lying down and rightly called out this clear example of racism:
Once again, the Left’s Outrage Brigade is in full swing, complete with racist comments, ad hominem attacks, false claims, and the same false narrative.
For the “Party of Tolerance,” the Left isn’t very tolerant, as we see over and over again.
Kudos to Steven for standing up for what’s right.
