Do you think that soldiers should be furious when the flag that they fought for is trampled on? Or do you think these protesters have a right to do this?
Here’s just one example of a veteran confronting thugs like this:
Chaos in Ferguson is steadily on the rise and it’s bringing out the haters. I’m not talking about racists, either…I’m talking about America haters.
This week, the one-year anniversary of Michael Brown’s death, Ferguson is again under a State of Emergency, and protesters have been chanting such exceptional wit as “f*ck America!” and “we ready for war!” This of course has led to increased violence, yada yada, same old story.
Is there no end to what Ferguson protesters will do to get a little media coverage? As a veteran discovered, Ferguson protesters are perfectly happy to sink to new lows.
A (white) U.S. veteran showed up to the Ferguson protests yesterday with his American flag in tow. Not exactly receiving a warm welcome, protesters threw his flag on the ground and stomped on it, shouting, “We don’t give a f*ck!” and “F*ck America!”
Desecration of the U.S. flag is something we’re used to seeing in terrorist strongholds, but not in Missouri. Outraged, the Vet stood his ground and gave them a good dose of common sense: “How about the people who f*cking died so you’d have the right to be out here doing this?”
Their response? “We died, too!” “We’re dying, too!”
You have got to be kidding me. I don’t think these people have any concept of the tides of American blood that have watered foreign soil. They cry “We’re ready for war!” but they’re oblivious to the meaning of war in this country.
These protesters have convinced themselves that they’ve been “stepped on,” in the words of one woman involved in the flag desecration. But I genuinely wonder how they’d react if they left this country they apparently hate so much, and tried it somewhere else.
If they were in China, they’d be in political labor camps. If they were in North Korea, they’d have been killed a year ago. But here in the United States, we tolerate their infantile behavior…why exactly?
Because in this great nation, valiant and selfless men and women have given up their families and their lives for rights like the freedom of speech.
The Ferguson protesters obviously didn’t see the irony when they picked up the trampled flag and flew it upside down.
