Donald Trump took a major stand for police officers nationwide during a campaign speech Monday, announcing to a crowd, “I am the law and order candidate.”
According to The Daily Caller, Trump was speaking to supporters in Virginia Beach, Virginia, when he blasted Hillary Clinton for her softness on the issue in the wake of the Dallas shootings and said that “without safety, we have nothing.”
“Not only am I the law and order candidate, but I’m also the candidate of compassion,” Trump said.
“I am the law and order candidate. Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, is weak, ineffective, pandering, and as proven by her recent e-mail scandal, which was an embarrassment, not only to her, but to the entire nation as a whole, she’s either a liar or grossly incompetent.”
